    Denver gets
    Kevin Martin
    Jordan Hill
    Jefferies
1 of the Knicks picks and our 2011 1st round pick
Denver will still compete plus they are able to rebuild at the same time.

    Chuncy, Lawson
    Afflalo, JR Smith
    Kevin Martin, Al Harrington
    Kenyon Martin, Jordan Hill
    NeNe, Birdman

This lineup should keep them competing for the playoffs at the same time rebuild through the draft. They are getting a young piece in Hill, but they may ask for both of the Knicks picks. It shouldn't be a deal breaker by no means.

    Philly gets
    Aaron Brooks
    Shane Battier
    Balkman
Which ever 1st round pick Denver does not take.

    Philly lineup
    Aaron Brooks,
    Evan Turner,
    Willie Green
    Elton Brand
    Spencer Hawes

They would still have a decent bench plus some young pieces to move at the trade deadline. Another reason Philly does this is because they would be moving Andre's contract.

    Rockets get
    Carmelo Anthony
    Andre Iguodala

    Rockets lineup
Kyle lowry (whoever Morey gets with our T/E)
Andre Iguodala, Courtney Lee, Jermaine Taylor
    Carmelo Anthony, Chase Budinger,
    Luis Scola, Patrick Patterson
    Yao Ming, Brad Miller

Now we do not have to explain why we do this from the Rockets standpoint

Now the New York Knickerbockers have re-imerged as Melo's top priority.

Wasn't Frank Isola the one who pretty much guarenteed that LeBron was gonna be in a Knicks jersey by the 2010-2011 season?

So the Nuggets are screwed? LOL! Anyways i am tired of this diva act now. Time to move on like i always do when someone bores me with mind games they dont play very well. Whos next? Chris Paul? I only love you as long as you are a Rocket and we are the favorites. ;)

Tomorrow if we wake up and it says Rockets loved the most? Lovefest back again. Till then? No attention anymore.......

Frank Isola has no clue what he is talking about. He is contradicting himself in everyone of his tweets.

Umm? What difference would it make if Melo and Curry are friends? He's not gonna be on the roster if Melo is traded to the Knicks.

We need shooters to surround Yao. A Lowry/Iggy/Melo/Scola/Yao lineup would be disastrous in terms of clogging the paint and having nobody who can hit a three pointer. Melo fits okay if we still have Brooks and Martin to hit outside shots, but if you turn the whole team into guys who attack the paint, they're just going to get in each other's way.

It's also too many playmakers and not enough guys who play off the ball. A team like this would be the exact opposite of Adelman's playstyle and it would be a train wreck on the court. You don't just collect a bunch of pieces which sound good, you have to look at how they fit together as well.

Coaching is for tweaking minor things and coming up with schemes for guys to play together. Coaching can't change the fundamental nature of the players you are working with. Coaching isn't going to suddenly turn Lowry, Melo, and Iggy into great three point shooters--they are what they are.

Scola and Melo can shoot. Iggy isn't a HORRIBLE shooter, also these guys can drive.

You also have players on the bench to bring into the game...also Yao is not going to be playing entire games anymore...so we can't base our entire gameplan around him. You are basing the entire gameplan on a guy that most likely will play half of the games. With that said I hope Yao comes back strong of course...also I'll say it again...Melo is a excellent shooter, and assuming we get to keep Lee in such a trade, he's a good shooter too and again...Iguodala is not a liability shooting the ball, he's just a streaky shooter.

Great thing about Iggy is that if he's off he can still drive to the paint and play defense.

Either way now it sounds like Denver wants to hang onto Melo. Whatever, I hope the GM is just saying that for the ticket sales, because it looks like dude is gone once he gets the chance.

Dude, I would be shocked if Melo is still wearing a Nuggets jersey by the start of the season.

This sure is a weird way of them wanting to hang on to Melo.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Amq01D1SuPpDvkWjLKkiCFy8vLYF?slug=aw-anthonynuggets082610

The Nuggets GM is just trying to calm the fanbase just like how Colangelo and Gilbert did with LeBron and Bosh.

That is what i'm talking about.

Also Asidd, you say he is jsut trying to calm the fanbase like Colangelo and Gilbert...and that may be true. But just like those two he could be planning on hanging onto Melo for the entire year.

Seeing how the CP3, Lebron, and Bosh situations played out. If a GM says "We will be doing everything we can to keep this player." I don't think we can just shrug it off.

Dude, if they were gonna hang on to Melo, that would be disasterous for both parties.

Just imagine how the fans and his teammates would react nowing he is a goner by the end of the season. That is a PR nightmare. Also if they were gonna hang on to him, why did they start to entertain the possibility of trading him as early as June?

    http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi...may_need_to_work_cooperatively/#ixzz0xtkB6rIV

Also, they want the most bang for his bucks, so waiting till the deadline is out of he option because at that time, most teams would offer crap for him because they know he's gonna bolt in 2 months anyways.

Their best bet is to trade him before the season starts so they get the most value for him. And looking at the short list of teams he is willing to sign an extension with, being Houston, LA, New York, New Jersey and Golden State, they will probably offer the most enticing package for him.

They've made it clear that they want young talent AND draft picks. So a package surrounding Martin might be out of the picture, but who knows, they might really like Budinger, Hill or Patterson and might eat his contract or have Brooks included instead. We also own our own 2011 draft pick and the right to swap picks in 2012 with New York, which could turn out to be gold if Melo doesn't sign with the Knicks.

The guy they hired as their new GM is also a international scout and we have some pretty decent international players' draft rights. He might be interested in Sergio Llull who knows? We could offer them the draft rights to him as well. That would also make Billups expendable and they could use him to net some decent players as well.

I think we've got a great chance at getting Melo. The only team I'm worried about is the Nets. If they offer Favors, you could bet that would trump any of our young players, but they don't have any trade exceptions so they would not offer the Nuggets immediate salary cap relief necessarily.

I just hope this doesn't drag on for too long. As always, In Morey we Trust! ;)

I'm not really disagreeing with you.

They should trade Melo, and they should do it now. Midseason the price will be different...whose to say afterall if we are the 2nd team in the west by the deadline, then Morey will be less likely to make such a major trade.

Or whose to say Favors is looking like a ROY candidate? Then he becomes pretty much untouchable for the Nets.

So yes I agree, they should trade him right now...but as we've seen with the other superstars. These GMs can be reluctant to let them go, no one is forcing them to do the right thing.

Who knows what Cleveland could have got for Lebron. I know though they would be in a much better situation right now. For sure they'd have one or two top prospects to deal with.

I agree, Melo should be in a different uni come the start of the season. I guess the important thing is as long as that extension remains unsigned, then he's likely to be traded.
