What's the deal with Nuggets4? He's been awfully quiet ever since that Yahoo article with Houston > New York came out 6 days ago.

Kevin Martin shot over 40% from the field last season.

I think you need to man up and stop posting.

For those worrying about what we're going to do at the point guard position if we obtain Carmelo, I ask you this: Isn't that a minor problem in the grand scheme of things?

Even though I think he does a much better job as a POINT guard than Brooks, I'm not sold on Lowry being the minutes eater at the 1. But even if Lowry can only give us 32-36 minutes as a starter, we just need a stop-gap point guard that's competent and capable...and maybe hit the 3.

If Brooks gets shipped out, we have:

    Yao
    Scola
    Melo
    Martin

We haven't had that much offensive firepower on a Rockets team since...well...I don't even know when.

Worrying about how to replace Brooks if Melo arrives? Worrying about how Martin/Melo are going to guard the Miami heat? This is akin to worrying about what to get for dessert at dinner before the steak arrives.

True, it's like worrying about what color to get when you buy a Benz.

Who cares! You're getting a freakin Benz!

The clippers arte offering either K-man or gordon and their number 1 pick. Supposedly they are the front runners now.

How has Charlotte come into the mix? I don't believe that would be a city Melo would want to go to even if they they can provide financial relief for the Nuggets.

I think because Michael Jordan is the owner, I think he has a line through Jordan's shoe.

Yeah if they wherent the Clippers that might be believable. They are however the CLIPPERS.

That offer trumps ours. Gordon is better then martyn or atleast will be in his prime and they get the clippers number 1 which will be valueable.

I haven't heard anything about the Clippers offering Gordon. I think Kaman pretty much HAS to be included in the deal, since the Nuggets have zero interest in the Clippers' other big money player (Baron Davis).

If the Clippers are offering Kaman, Gordon and the Wolves' unprotected 2012 first round pick, then I don't think the Rockets could possibly beat that offer. But what I've heard, it would be Aminu instead of Gordon in the offer.

Still, Carmelo would still need to WANT to be an employee of Donald Sterling for this to be plausible. And, frankly, is it really worth $65M to have to work for that d-bag?

Yeah but its the Clippers. That trumps anything i would have to say further about Carmello and his wish to be there potentially. I think its obvious.

If the Nuggets have been trying to jettison Kenyon because he's always injured they'd want Kaman.

I heard it on one of the clippers message board so it might be bogus. who knows. From Camelos persepctive imagine if he made the clippers into a winner. His legacy would sky rocket greatly and he will have a shoe in the second largest market in the NBA in Los Angeles. Sterling will have no reason not want to finally spend some real $$ to have a contender. Imagine the crowds and national audience an Clippers V Lakers will pull. Clippers will be onthe map as a destination where big names would love to go with Melo.

I doubt it...he doesn't seem to be the insider info type of guy....I think he is just saying it's the best offer and therefore the best bet.

I think the team is better off with Martin ship than with Brooks ship. Brooks give teams a lot of trouble with his speed. The Lakers are having problem with Brooks and i am sure HEAT as well since they don't have a good PG. Does Martin give teams more trouble than Brooks?? I don't think so. The position that Martin play can also be replaced...we already have LEE to start over him. And with Martin trade, we don't have to add another major piece to match Melo's contract. We just need to throw in Jeffries and draft picks.

That sounds fun in fantasy bizarro world. In reality world this Clippers curse world. Reality is stranger than fiction sometimes. :) Will find a way to be mediocre. I wouldnt mind him a Clipper. As long as its not a Knick and I dont have to worry about the team he goes to in wins and losses. Pretty much everyone else on this list is alright with me. Even New York if it wasnt for our draft picks. Preferrably New Jersey and Clippers. That works out fine for the Rockets.

If Melo were to pick any of those other three teams over Houston, he deserves to lose. ;)
