I wasn't necessarily directing my comment at you. I've heard people on the Sports Radio all day look for reasons why Melo wouldn't work here, and chemistry was the common denominator. Last time I checked, the majority of people were in favor of bringing in a player to compliment Yao since McGrady didn't work out. The shared opinion is that we can't win a championship with the team we have now, so why not make the necessary move(s) to get us there?

What if Carmelo stayed put and OPTED in for next year?

Everyone is thinking that he might decide to opt out after this year if he is not traded, but he could decide to opt in, or rather not to opt out, just like Yao did.

That way, he still gets an extra year of high pay under the current CBA.

Positivity? Or talking about your own post in a sort of never ending loop?

With Adelman we'll continue to play a passing, movement-based offense. The stagnation was as much Van Gundy as it was McGrady.

Now the Francis years... well that dude was just a black hole.

Well I'm am for Melo being here if it makes us better, but I am all for it if he does not change the offense. I think people took my thread starter out of context. I never said that I would not like Melo here if it made us better.

Then obviously we wouldn't get him if he stayed put.

But there are rumors he wants to be traded, therefore the reason for threads like these.

If I had a 100% percent guarantee that Yao was going to a 20/10 guy and play 35 minutes per game, then maybe..........

No, I still want Melo. I have never been a big fan of his, but the fact is, we need him (or CP3, or another big name) to get considerably better.

Heart only takes you so far. Heart eventually runs out of gas. You might lose a bet every once in a while, but you should always pick the most talented team to win.

Hey, at least a hire from within the Nuggs' organization doesn't have to be brought up to speed on the Carmelo situation. Ujiri probably already knows how the owner wants to play it.

His wife wants to live there. That trumps just about everything.

Don't worry. I can promise you Rick Adelman and Daryl Morey are not worried about chemistry when it comes to adding Carmelo.

Worrying about this team's chemistry is just code for overrating current Rocket players (I'm looking at you, DD).

Could the Rockets finally be catching a break for a change? A newbie GM is not who you select if you want your disgruntled star to stick around.

I'd rather go all in and win a championship. IMO Melo gives the Rockets a better chance, as long as they don't deplete the entire team for him.

Melo's Nuggets have been a middling team since he played there. I wonder if it is him or his team mates, coaches, management, etc. Just wondering if he has anything at all to earn the title "superstar".

The gm will be behind Josh Kroenke and Bret Bearup on the Nuggets centipede.

Remember 2 seasons ago when the Pistons had a 7-0 to start the season then they traded Billups for A.I? If the Rox do get off to a hot start I hope they don't pull the trigger on anything even if its for Melo.
