If we get Melo, I will buy season tickets.

I lived in CO when Melo was drafted. I went to probably 1/6 of the home games for the few years I lived there, and watched the majority of the rest on TV, so I've probably watched Melo play more than anyone here. I don't think he's someone this team/city will want. He's lazy and thinks he deserves special treatment. Obviously that's not uncommon for someone of his level, but he's never going to take a team all the way with his attitude. Sound familiar? I really think this could be a Tmac part 2.

However, I'd take a gamble on him if we didn't have to lose much. That means keeping Martin and Brooks. If we can get him for Battier, Jeffries, Bud, and maybe a pick or something, then go for it.

Like many of you, I have reservations. I have questions about his character and compatibility with current players, none about this talent. If he comes for the Battier, C Bud, Hill, Jefferies package, sounds good. If Brooks or Martin are gone, I would vote no.

Guys I might be thinking out of my A$@ but how come we can't use this as our own leverage with Indiana? I would prefer Granger over Carmelo and it might cost us less in draft picks and guys if Denver is looking to trade Carmelo to Houston...

Valid concerns. But if you look at the cast of volatile personalities that seemingly co-exist peacefully on the Nuggets, it might seem that he would be able to fit in pretty easily with the happy-go-lucky Rockets.

Lmao, didn't Morey moraped the Knicks? Maybe he's mad that if the Knicks still had Jordan Hill and their picks they would have a better chance to get Melo. Knicks fans are dumb, weren't the Knicks the front-runners for LeBron for a while? He's just mad because the Rockets are cockblocking Donnie's "masterplan", which everyone laughed at to begin with. Honestly, the Nets and the Clippers have a better chance to get Melo. This is pretty funny, dudes taking shots at Morey while he laughs and keeps screwing the ol' knickerbockers

Absolutely correct, with a healthy Yao this entire team fits together, and is a contender to win it all.

If you add in Melo, now you are completely changing the way all the pieces fit, and may actually make the overall team worse.

Because the new system would rightfully be built around Melo and Yao, and some of the pieces that fit now, would not fit in that scenario.

So while Melo is a better talent, it would cause a lot more turnover that you hope would fit in....

As I see it, they are a contender now (not a favorite mind you), and if you add Melo, depending upon what you give up, and then what you need to get to fit with Melo, an argument could be made that they are actually worse overall.

It all depends upon what you give up.....etc.

If Daryl Morey and Rick Adelman decide that Carmelo Anthony fits this team, then that's enough for me.

So?? Lets do this then! I am sure if Daryl Morey makes the trade for him? He knows what he is doing. Rick Adelman more than likely wants him too if Daryl went through with the trade.

Ok. Knicks fans seem to think he hates the team as well.
