    nothing really earth shattering.....he says that Melo is being ridden hard (no pun intended) by Lala to end up in NY....and thats the main reason why NY became destination #1.......said that he would have been a Net by now if Melo would agree to sign an extension there......doesnt really think we will get Melo which is when I hung up on him ;)

    So, Melo is the Black Doug Christie? :)

    Not surpising, when both of them were on George Lopez, George asked Lala where she wants Melo to be, she said "Whatever he chooses is best for his career" but the way she looked and sounded make me think the message really was "He can chooses to go to whatever team he wants, but he knows where to go if he wants to keep his penis."

    You have to come off a starter just to get the salaries to match. The Nuggets aren't going to take crap in return. Additionally, at some point you have to pay everyone. If Martin stays then you can't bring a maxed out Melo in and afford Brooks new salary. We did just slash payroll this season.*

    If you trade for Melo then I expect Lowry and Lee to be just as beneficial if they start. Brooks and Martin are scorers, but they don't do much else. Melo is a better offensive weapon. Lowry and Lee are more suited for defense. Lowry seems like the better "PG" and Lee can hit open shots. And if a trade did happen I would expect one of Brooks/Martin to stay anyway.*

    I'm sure Leon Rose and his client Lala want it sorted out before the training camp starts, but so what if it isn't? Is Melo gonna act like a b**** and not show up or anything?

    If Denver needs a couple more days or weeks or months to maximize the return, they'll just tell Leon and Lala to sit and wait.

    I'm still with DD on the idea of forgetting about Melo an go after Randolph or Gallinari by offering NY their 2012 pick. The team is already set to do great things, so might as well try to sure up our other big or that other SF that we currently need.

    The more this is prolonged the bigger the chance that Denver does nothing.
