LOL, that didn't make any sense.

Favors was speculated to be the guy the Rockets were after when they were discussing the #2 pick.

Yeah Feigan said contrary to popular belief, it was Favors who they were after, not Cousins.

As long as Chicago decides not to offer Noah we have a decent chance.

NY/Chicago would not be able to offer enough assets to feed Denver's appetite. And who wants to play in the depleted NJ Nets?

Let's imagine something a little closer to home, would you trade Scola + say Demarcus Cousins (both of the nets players are arguably better) + extra **** for Melo?

Can't say i blame them really, the nets problem is even in brooklyn, they're still the clippers of new york, and the lakers of new york aren't any good either.

Nothing really new but reassurances if you will that the Rockets are "in the mix".

Sounds interesting, the Rox/Melo run away train seems to be gaining steam.

By the way, the spoiler tags on your updates make it so much more dramatic. LOL

Haha, sorry. I like to keep it interesting :p

I do wish there was resolution one way or the other already though.

Yea me too, I just can't imagine the Nuggets going through media day and especially camp with this looming over their heads. Everyone would be so uncomfortable and cause a complete distraction.

ESPN back to reporting that Melo Camp is pushing for NYK (1st) and the Bulls (2nd) to make a stronger push for a trade.

I think there's an increasing chance the Nuggets close down the auction - I seems as if the teams in the running are holding the price down below their reserve. If they don't like what they see, they could just call everything off until January and open things back up.

I almost wish Denver would just keep him for the year. Just to send a message that not every team can be manipulated by a spoiled athlete, and then we could all get back to talking about the new season.

See Toronto and Phoenix this past year and possibly Cleveland (although they were in a much better position for the season and offseason). It doesn't work out well in the end for the team.

While I'm not a big fan of Carmelo Anthony, personally, I actually am not so opposed to what he is doing. He is letting his team know that he will not likely be re-signing with them and allowing them to get something in return for him. I have seen nothing in the media that would indicate that Melo is going to "jake" it next season. I fully expect for him to play hard as a Denver Nugget during the 2010-11 NBA season. He will honor his contract, and then he will likely leave as a free agent . . . as is his right.

I don't think Melo's attitude here quite amounts to the "Operation Shutdown" that T-Mac put on the Magic during the summer of 2004.

I'm pretty sure he will be traded before the season ends.

Probably so, but my point is that he WOULD play hard as a Denver Nugget if he weren't traded.

He'd better....win-win for the Nuggets...of course they would rather keep him...but trading him now, they get more assets etc. back...if they keep him...he's in a contract year, so he has to play hard anyway..let other teams know he's a "team player"
