Those brats all went to a team in a state with no state income tax... Maybe it's all about the money. :)

Right. Because the LAST thing that Les wants is a superstar on the team who can put up some big numbers, sell out Toyota Center, and get the team lots of media hype and national TV games.

Would we go further with KevMart's 55 games a year or with Carmelo's 70 games a year? Would the team generate more excitement and revenue with Carmelo or with Kevin Martin?

Win-wise, we certainly wouldn't suffer with Carmelo.

There is no guarantee that Melo won't get injured, just as there is no guarantee Martin will...they have the same chance of getting injured.

At this point it seems to be chinese whispers, why would denver prefer martin, why would we prefer brooks? neither makes much sense.

    This isn't true.

That would be like saying you wouldn't trade Yao for Dwight because they both have the same chances of getting injured.

Are you the kind of guy that hopes for the best or prepares for the worst? Dont get me wrong i like Martins game to but Martin has more of a delicate frame thats what worries me, in the end if a deal dosent go trough im still cool with everything.

i think its a little of column a and a little of column b, they obviously want to keep new york out, and nj might simply be bidding more than morey is willing to match.

Yes it is true...there is nothing chronic on either of them..same chance of injury.

    Re: Melo

Morey is not stupid enough to get into a bidding war, but he is smart enough to put a decent offer that he knows others will have to beat...thus keeping NY out of it, or forcing them to give up Randolph.

It is a matter of what DENVER wants, they have Lawson at PG already....

i dont really care about this debate...because honestly its not a debate. Melo is by far the better player than martin. I know morey knows this. And if morey can get melo he will deal martin if he has to. So why argue it...it will be done.

But there is a reason for a person to be injury prone....ming because he is big...martin because he is small...he breaks easy when attacking bigger opponets...your argument reminds me of what people said every year about yao and tmac..."the injury from the year before doesnt mean they will get injured again"...then every year they go down.

He mentioned the Rockets earlier in his tweets as a team he is willing to sign an extension with.

Did he just forget to add them or what? I thought that the recent reports were that the Bulls were out of the running because they aren't giving up Noah.

Bulls out of running for Melo

Aren't the Bulls working on an extension with Noah, not to trade him?

No, he mentioned Houston among the other teams in the mix.

And yes, the Bulls arent in the mix right now as they arent willing to give up Noah as Broussard mentions.

Then you can just take the Bulls out of the running then.

    Bulls working on Noah extension

If he's not willing to sign an extension with NJ, then honestly Melo is in our hands because they are our only compitition.

No, that doesnt mean he's in our hands. If he doesnt want to re-sign in NJ, what makes you think he'll re-sign here? If he doesnt want to re-sign here, Morey isnt(imo) going to trade Brooks or Martin, other young assets, and picks for a season's rental.

    Broussard was just on SC:

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you...are you saying that Yao Ming and Dwight Howard have the same chance of being injured this season?

No, Melo and Kevin Martin have the same chance.

Yao's size is a problem for his feet.
