They don't really look at it like that. Jeffries and Harrington can both play either PF or SF. Bud can be SG or SF, as can Ariza. Pretty much our entire team can play multiple positions.

The only thing is the Jeffries deal. That means our chances of signing a bigger name this offseason dwindles.

picks are going to be worthless. NY will sign a big free agent in the summer and make the playoffs. jordan hill is the only bright side and that's not saying a lot.

what a crappy trade compared to the rumors we had going on before (iggy or butler)

If we are getting Jeffries I'd want Gallo instead of Hill, they can keep him.

    I would only do a

    t-mac
    for
    gallo
    jeffries

Those picks aren't needed if we are getting Gallo.

    It will?

Look...Hill can be a player for us, lots of players are late bloomers and don't show much their first year. I'm excited about getting him also. Hopefully the deal can be done soon so we realize we have too many bigs and then trade one of them for a young wingman like Rudy ;)

I'd love it if he backed up Hayes at the 5 actually...

Aaron Brooks was #24 iirc, and wasn't Landry #31?

Granted, the lower you go in the draft, the worse it is, but you never know. Sitting at the bottom of the first round could be a Parker/Gino/Brooks/Landry/Blair type player.

I guess the rockets aim at 2011 summer. The rockets don't know how Yao will play next season. I think this is a good move.

The cap situation is much better with this trade scenario though.

EDIT: Not really since it looks like Jeffries will be included.

most likely we had to lose one of the "rotational" players making those deals and morey isn't comfortable. he wanted a legit star, and those guys aren't.

so this is the best deal rather than just sit on tmac's contract. accumulating a ton of assets (and morey can package those picks with our young guns for potential sign and trades this summer).

Picks are always needed; if you could bum a pick off any trade, I would do so.

If anything, they could be used as trade bait.

    Let's see:

    1) Not giving up any core players
    2) trade away our trash
    3) ....and get a prospect, expiring contracts, and draft picks

    How's it a crappy trade?
