Well CBS Sports said the Knicks and Bulls were waiting to hear back from Houston so I assume those are the 2 teams. Unless Morey has something planned that we never heard about. And yeah, those probably arent the hottest or most popular trades but..

Just because it's a two team deal for McGrady doesn't mean that another team can't get involved to get a player that they want. Tyrus Thomas could be involved in a McGrady deal with Thomas going to Portland, us getting guys from them, and McGrady to the Bulls.

Don't underestimate Morey. "Two team race for McGrady" does not mean, "Rockets have to get either Bulls players or Knicks players in a deal for TMac."

I know that that is obvious, but some of the posters here seem to still be ignoring that.

with all the discussion that has transpired over the last 24 hours I can't see how anyone could logically come to your conclusion...

read between the lines, do you think the rockets are really that upset over having to eat jeffries contract for two first rounders?

Im sure this is the case also. I mean why else would you want everything to be leaked while others can know what your intentions are.

Rumors are always going to be rumors but until its a done deal I don't expect anything 2 happen. The 76ers rumor was a hot one. Nothing happened with that. Everyone was talk but no action and I believe thats exactly whats gonna happen with this one right here.

    Lets keep him!!!!!!

How much cap space would the Rockets have next year if they keep Tmac and traded Battier for an expiring contract?

(If McGrady walked as a free agent and the incoming player with the expiring contract was not signed, guessing on the cap and what it would cost to sign Lowry and Scola, they would have $14 million to $17 million. -- Jonathan)

Also from Feigen: Jonathan, what is a probable range for what it would take to bring back Scola, Lowry, and Hayes?

(Tough to say, especially since point guards are typically overpaid. I have not begun to ask around to see how they are valued around the league, but let's guess $6 million to $8 million for Lowry and Scola. Hayes is due $2.3 million next season. Depending on what happens on Thursday, I would not be surprised to see the Rockets choose not to pick up their option with him and they try to bring him back for less than that. -- Jonathan)

Call it what you want, Morey gets the most bang for his buck ;)

I agree. Deng has played pretty darn good this year. He has improved on many aspects. Not a top tier player by any means but even his numbers for a SF justify his contract. Dont be scared to click on the game log either.

yup i guess so.. And i suggest Morey take the best offer.. Beggers can't be choosers. I think if He begs 2 much for more young talent someone is going 2 say forget about it.

At some point this year (probably when he had started enough games to qualify), there was an article indicating that Hayes was indeed the smallest center ever.

If the future 1st-round pick isn't included in the package, Morey should hang the phone up.

Hill is the only semi-desirable piece in the deal, and he's been a big disappointment up to this point in his young career.

No pick no deal. Hill isn't worth another year of Jeffries.
