That sucks...I would love Miller, Thomas, and Salmons.

Then trade Scola and Battier for a wing.

Rockets get help for this season without adding years of contract at the expense of J. Taylor. Cleveland gets Jamison without giving up Hickson. Wizards get to dump salary in Jamison while adding a prospect in J. Taylor instead Dorsey if the would take it

why would we help out both cleveland and washington and not get anything in return for ourselves? rather just let mcgrady expire then blindly help other teams

This trade helps make a playoff push for this seasons without costing us the ability to sign someone in the offseason. I guess you would have to ask yourself if the possibility of getting in the playoff is worth losing J. Taylor or J Dorsey in this trade scenerio.

There is no way that there are multiple trades for McGrady.

Now we have other people from the Rockets side saying the Knicks offer isn't good enough, you need to add another pick. Or even, "Hey Knicks, we aren't going to give you our pick."

I think Morey could get Deng if he decides he wants him. It would be doing Chicago a huge favor--they'd be able to sign two max free agents. That, combined with Noah and Rose makes them the most attractive destination for free agents (especially Wade), and following that, title contenders.

If he does the NY deal then turns around and deals Hughes for Deng straight up, I think that's a workable deal just because of Chicago's financial situation. Add a future pick as a throw-in only if absolutely necessary.

Then you turn around and trade Battier to a contender for an expiring and a pick or prospect, and Scola to whoever will give you a prospect or a pick for him.

Draft a backup center in the first round this year and you have a contender on your hands and lots of picks, prospects, and young players to build with down the road. If Morey executes something like this... dynasty.

Deng is the one player I don't want to see us acquire in a trade. Over 10 million a year for a ball hogging guard that has 5 years left on his contract.

Please do not post trade ideas in a thread that is about actual trade news/rumors.
    It is very confusing.

Deng's salary is less than Iggy's. He's also younger, has more upside, and is arguably having a better season. He is a more efficient and prolific scorer, a better rebounder, and turns the ball over less. Yes, he gets less assists and plays worse defense, but I'd still love to have him on the team.

I guess til this day you still don't understand my friend.. Nobody really wants mcgrady.. They want his contract...If guys really wanted McGrady it'll probably be a team thats a contender who needs that one final piece. Notice how the teams thats interested in him are teams that are not even in discussion for the playoffs.

I know McGrady's contract is more valuable, but I doubt like the article said there are MULTIPLE teams pushing for McGrady.

Rockets want to push Knicks to get more involving McGrady in a deal.

They want them to get nervous and say, "Hey look, Bulls are about to get him, lets just give them our 1st.

More upside? I think your way off there, I would never ever let Deng lead a team or even be the number 2 guy and I feel like Iguodala could still be that guy. I believe Chicago even benched Deng for a while last season before the playoffs and were hesitant to play him alot because he is a ball hog. He really creates his own shot but doesn't work well in a system which I think would be bad for the Rockets.

Multiple teams that are probably NY, Washington, Bulls, 76ers. The Multiple teams are probably the teams we already heard rumors about. I doubt its anyone new.

Second the Jazz own the Knicks 1st rnd pick so they can't do that.

IMHO maybe there just isn't going to be a trade regarding McGrady. Maybe a small trade will happen but Morey is probably being 2 greedy. Asking for a lot for a guy who hasn't even played and wants young talent. Hmmm. Maybe he is pushing the buttons. I think if this keeps up then in 48 hrs nothing is going to happen. Well maybe not with the Knicks.

This is from a Jay Williams article on ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=4906354

It's that kind of vocal leadership that might do the Bulls some good, according to Williams. Asked about the inconsistencies of a fellow Duke alum, Luol Deng, Williams said: "I've never really seen Lu lead. I didn't see him lead when he was in college, and I haven't really seen him lead as a pro. I always see him kind of fitting in, following the flow."

Deng, the seventh pick in the 2004 NBA draft, signed a $71 million extension in the summer of 2008 and his production -- and ability to stay on the court -- has suffered since. If those are tied to the big contract, Deng wouldn't be the first, Williams said.

"I don't know if Lu has gotten a little content after he got the big contract. I'm not saying that I've spoken to Lu or that he has, but you see that in the NBA," said Williams, now a basketball analyst for ESPN. "All of a sudden Eddy Curry comes up in his contract year, and he loses 25-30 pounds, he's in shape, he's dunking everything, and he's a beast. Then he gets his contract and everybody is like where's Eddy Curry at? That happens around the NBA all the time."

Morey could use the threat of taking Jeffries to get Cleveland to come to the table and maybe flip him Hickson if he will go away from NY.

ESPN Insider say "looks like it's a 2 team race for Tracy McGrady". I dont have insider so I cant post(so if you do, if you don't mind, please post, thanks.) Those 2 teams are probably NY and Chicago.

If its just those 2 teams then expect a lot of clutchfans members 2 be upset because I don't see a trade happening with them.. Maybe if the Rockets are desperate then the Bulls are the likely targets but other than that i think in the end they say forget about it and keep the money for themselves instead of takin a risk and whoever they get in a trade doesn't fit.
