    Tweets from Alan Hahn:

Tim Grover, who has trained McGrady at his gym here in Chicago during his Rockets exile, declined comment when I reached out to him today.

Grover: "I have no comment on Tracy until after the trade or whatever happens.”

That's fine, but Morey has the leverage. The Rockets can wait until the Summer. The draft picks are the draw for the Knicks deal. Jordan Hill is irrelevant as a ball player. He's a potential trade asset.

b/c we can sit on his contract and he would not play like he is right now.

Those are all speculations right now. Maybe it is what the Knick do not to give up picks or Hill.

Give me some links, sources :)

If anyone is really leaking this it has to be NY so they can do their best to make sure Morey has no other options but to trade with them.

I'm not sure, Bucher sad something like "from everyone I have spoken to, T-Mac is not ready to play and will not play again this season."

He made it sound like it was because of physical issues not that T-mac just doesn't want to.

    Really, really, strange.

    1) He had a setback today
    2) Deal is VERY close
    3) Knick want to lower his value

Seems more like a "Trade him now, and you will see how he plays."

If he truly can't play then there are several dozen TOF who need to commit harakiri for bashing Morey and Adelman for saying McGrady was not physically able to help the team win this year.

how the hell do you go from being able to run on the court with NBA competition to not being physically ready to go? the knicks are probably spewing this BS and ric is gladly spewing it over ESPN.

What a dumb move by NY for pulling a "tmac". Why the heck would they do that?!

Knicks clear up a crap load of space to potentially bring in BIG NAME FA's with TMAC's contract. If Morey doesn't get what he wants, he'll simply just let Mac's contract expire. Leaving NY in the same position they're currently in. NBA might as well just make the KNicks a D-League team... they just might crack the playoffs there...

    Until a trade happens

That means he is ready, doesn't it?

It's just wierd, Bucher had this smug look on his face like duh people he isn't going to play where have you been.

I wish T-mac or Grover would confirm or deny.

We should expect this kind of rumor. It is designed to run other teams off from trading for McGrady and buying him out. Obviously, if McGrady can't play, then he isn't going to go for a buyout. So some teams that may want to trade for him in order to buy him out and save some $$$ would be inclined to pass if they know he is not going to play and has no reason to agree to a buyout. That is what is driving the value of McGrady up right now. He is desperate to play and help a team get to the playoffs. He wants to go to NY. Other teams know this and they know if they trade for him, the odds are good that they can get him to drop several million dollars in order to get free and sign with NY for the minimum.

I would expect this news to dissapate to nothing after other teams are assured McGrady can actually play and no further injuries have taken place that would prevent him from playing at least at the level he was playing at before Adelman sent him home.
