What do you guys think about a possible 4-way deal involving NY, Portland, and Philly??

    Rockets Trade: McGrady, Budinger
Knicks Trades: Harrington, Hughes, Jefferies, Hill
    Philly Trades: Iguodala, and Dalembert
    Portland Trades: Outlaw and Miller

Rockets Get: Iggy and Hughes ($26mil in contracts - $13mil expiring - Instant help in Iggy. No way we get a better FA than that with the amt of money we have to spend in the offseason)
Knicks Get: Tracy and Miller (Get TMAC's expiring and a legit PG. Their weakest position IMO - Duhon is CRAP)
Philly Gets: Harrington, Hill, Jefferies, and Outlaw (Begin rebuilding process and chance to land a big name FA by getting rid of Dalembert's $11mil, and Iggy's $12mil and receive $14mil back in expirings and 2009 lottery pick in Hill)
Portland gets: Dalmbert and Budinger(in desperate need of size to make up for loss of Oden and Przybilla to make noise in the playoffs, Budinger to sweeten the deal)

Maybe rockets can try to get some picks out of NY for help to get Jefferies and Hughes off their hands and possibly get a pick out of Philly for helping getting Iggy and Dalmbert off their hands.

Only negative side to this trade is that this year, we'd be in pretty deep with the Luxury Tax without getting too far in the playoffs.

But i think this would set us up fairly nicely for the future.

    Potential Lineup:
    AB/Lowry
    Iggy/Hughes/JT
    Ariza/Battier/Hughes/
    Scola/Landry
    Hayes/Dorsey/Andersen

By the way... This trade works in the trade machine!

T-mac has been praying to go to the Knicks. This is the Knicks spreading rumors and playing "hard" ball.

If this was the case, no way I buy him out. Let him sit and rot

Bucher was just on ESPN NEWS and said that the NY deal was nowhere near a done deal and that T-Mac would not play this season. Said the only deal still on the table was T-mac to Wash for Jamison but that Cleveland wanted Jamison as well even over Stoudemire. Miami wants Stoudemire and is offering Beasley, #1 pick, and O'Neal. Suns want to get under LT.

Interesting that we could probably have our pick of Butler, Iggy, Stoudemire, etc. If we were willing to give up Landry or AB.

I think another poster posted this earlier but anyway, that's what the man said.

lol at people blaming tmac again. he wants to play badly, and i doubt he cares where he goes.

if that rumor is true of what bucher says, it's from the knicks trying to drive his value down and forcing morey to make the trade with less picks.

Yeah but according to J Feigan the Rockets could have other deals working, and it's now reported the Knicks deal is less than 50/50 to happen

so not can't. basically meaning if no trade goes down, houston would just sit on his contract and a buyout is not going to happen.

That sounds totally different from what was quoted earlier. The way the quote was written earlier made it sound like Tmac wouldn't play because he wasn't in playing shape.

So, they are pretty much trying to drive his stock all the way low (as low as it already is) to try to get him?

I guess some stupid knicks fans made that rumor. I don't think the knicks organization would do that. They want their fans to believe Tmac is a still a star player in order to selling tickets.

And, the most important point for this trade is taking back Jefferies's contract.

They have seen him work out and D'Antoni wanted him.

Tim Grover has been saying all over again that Tracy is ready. So has been his agent.

So unless he had a setback today, this is not true.

I'm not saying it is the case, but he has done it before so It wouldn't surprise me. It would be suicide though, if he wants to play this year, surely he must know this. And no I didn't call you Shirley

Sorry for my paraphrasing but I went back and read the quote from this thread and it is 100% word for word accurate. I just watched Bucher myself.

Bucher says T-mac will not play this year because he is not physically ready.
