Ric is saying that on TV. I think he's trying to help the Knicks and drive T-macs price down but I doesn't matter because T-mac is only worth his contract.

What about the NY reporter tweets? D'antoni wants Tmac, and from D'antoni, their goal is to get under the cap as much as possible.

Bucher is pretty open in his dislike for McGrady. If that's what sources close to the Knicks side are floating out there, he'd be all to happy to report it.

But we know that McGrady's ability to play this season is not really the relevant issue. The Knicks want the cap space.

Doubt it. Tmac looked pretty solid in the game vs the Clippers.

Give him 2 months, and he will be even better.

I don't believe it one bit.

You saw the report on TV by your own eyes?

So far ONE guy in a random RealGM messageboard heard Bucher say this. Let's wait a bit before assuming this is true.

Don't worry. T-Mac1 doesn't know what he's talking about. Ric Bucher didnt tweet or say any of those comments. There's nothing on ESPN.com or on ESPNEWS about it! In fact, Ric wasn't even on the show, it was Adande and Broussard! Some random scrub from the Knickerbockers forum probably had nothing better to do and found out T-Mac might not be going to the Knicks after all and just posted some BS.

    so it's true? ok.

i think the guy is just reporting what his sources are saying. and it really depends on what sources the reporter has.

right now, those sources are biased. we can't really trust what is being thrown out there until a trade is finalized or burned to flames.

    LOL!

What if it is Tmac saying this himself? Oh what fun that would be...

that's why i feel the knicks want to drive his value down so they wouldn't give up as many draft picks. they give up jeffries, get the cap-space, and see what tmac potentially still has to offer and whether he fits into their long term plans.

on our side: we want to drive tmac's value up, get all the knicks draft picks.

it's a war right now between 2 shrewd GMs.

i said i got it from a knicks forum and never said i heard it or confirmed it myself. i'm just putting it out there on a day where there are tons of rumors being put out there. i guess some on here want to know if it's true or not.

and reeko_htwon just said he saw ric on espnews.

I doubt McGrady is the source of this. He wants to play ANYWHERE. I think he has gone on record as saying he would love to play in NY but if we sent him to Minnesota he would be happy at this point just to get back on the court and try to earn himself one last pay day.

This has to be coming from the Knicks.

Lol if it is actually someone from Tmac's side, it would be him just trying to piss the Rockets off one last time. So we get nothing from him...but I don't think it is any truth to it, because if Tmac did that the Rockets would probably sit his *** on the bench for the rest of the year and laugh when he gets at best a MLE contract.
