I'm inclined not to trade Ariza because I seriously think he can be that lockdown defender for us in the future.

from another forum, here's what ric bucher said word for word:

" Everything I've heard is that Tracy McGrady is not ready to play, and wont be this season, despite whatever other advertising there may be, actually the latest I've heard is that the conversation with the Houston Rockets has gone away with the Knicks. It's probably not going to happen. I've heard that from a number of sources, it was a number of pieces, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, Al Harrington, a swap of next years first round picks, and the Knicks PROTECTED 2012 1st round pick. That sound to me like a deal that was forwarded by the Houston Rockets, if you want Tracy McGrady and really too rich for the Knicks blood."

so to him, tracy is physically unable to play this season. that's breaking news.

Why not just let Tmac expire instead of taking garbage from the Knicks?

That Buecher tweet is an attempt by the Knicks to lower McGrady's value to complete the deal.

Unless McGrady had another setback.....he was ready to play.

wow.....well just gotta let his contract expire then.

Yeah, well teams will still know what they are getting. I dont think it is much of a secret, and I'm willing to wager that we dont move any of those picks this calendar year even if the trade is done.

If this is true, it totally wouldn't surprise me if it was Tracy and his people putting it out there because they are not going where they want to

Eh I'm okay with it, Hughes has the larger expiring contract, so I like it, plus he can play the SG for the remainder of the season.....

the knicks SAW him workout in chicago. and they do want him as a player.

again, i think these damn sources are leaking out from both sides just to force the other sides' hands.

houston wants to increase his value, knicks want to decrease it.

Why wouldn't Bucher tweet that? Nothing on his page says so. Where did the report come from?

As if T-Mac being able to play ever was why the Knicks, or anyone, would want him!

This is from RealGM. It's not breaking news, it's probably fake. We'll see if anyone else heard it - we have thousands on the board who are hooked on espn anticipating a trade, and so far no one's confirmed. Let's see.

He can play this season for sure, I just don't think he can play it a high level on a consistent basis.
