It's not his fault if you don't understand math or the salary cap. Just know you're wrong - Curry would inhibit our ability to re-sign both Scola and Lowry, period.

All this excitement, and I have an economics test today. Thank God it is multiple choice or i'd be in trouble. I hate that I just want a trade to happen. At least morey isn't just biting on anything these teams are throwing at us.

If Phoenix is willing to consider Cleveland's offer, I think we could better that by taking on Richardson, to get Amare. Rockets could offer cash, picks and not have to give up too much and still be better than Cleveland's...

McGrady, Cook, Dorsey, Taylor, pick(s), cash
    for
    Stoudemire, Richardson

    C - Stoudemire, Hayes, (Yao)
    PF - Scola, Landry, Andersen
    SF - Ariza, Battier, (Wafer/Harris)
    SG - Richardson, Budinger
    PG - Brooks, Lowry, (Conroy/Temple)

From what I gather from this:

SUNS: Stoudemire rejected two-year extension so push is on to re-deploy him with the apparent stipulation that either Richardson or Barbosa comes off owner Robert Sarver's battered books as well. Heat's proposition of O'Neal and Beasley and a No. 1 was turned down due to character issues shadowing the Kansas State forward.

Maybe the Rockets can help make the Amare trade happen as a third team, and obtain Barbosa+ in the swap. That would float my boat.

I was thinking the same thing. Barbosa is a quality talent at a fairly reasonable salary ($6.6M) for only one more year after this. Plus, he could slide right in and play SG for the Rockets right now.

Damn, I can't wait for Thursday afternoon!!!

    My deal's perfect then.

Amare, Barbosa, and Frye for TMac, Scola, Dorsey and our second.

    Helps both teams out nicely...

I understand math and the salary cap very well. Curry's contract has zero to do with keeping scola or lowry. The rox have first match on both scola and lowry. The point is the rockets may not want to resign scola if they get hill and lowry might get a offer they wont match. Neither of those scenerios hane much to do with curry.

Why would we want Amare? Didnt someone on this board say that he's not interested in playing in Houston? Either way, its a gamble because there's no telling if he's gonna resign with us or not. Why waste Scola on a 2 month rental?

After all this excitement I wonder how close we would be to a parade on Main Street. Yao's grandkids might be there to finally celebrate a Rockets championship but I am not counting on it in my lifetime. Unless...

At the rate DM is going Mr. Alexander will make a lot more money but I doubt that a championship is forthcoming anytime soon.

I don't know if he said that or not. I thought I heard the opposite from him a while ago. That he would love to play with Yao. I couldn't see why Amare would bolt from Houston...
