Yes please. I know Rudy Fernandez is a bit of a pipe dream, but he's the type of player that I'd be willing to give up an asset (Budinger perhaps) for in addition to sending Tyrus Thomas their way. Lot's of moving pieces and not likely, I know, but that's the type of move that would really make a difference imho.

The earlier the NY deal can be done, the better it looks and the more opportunities it creates.

I don't understand why people would want Jamison over Harrington given their contracts.

he put up 16, 4, 5 last yr on 38% shooting limping. i'm sure he'll at least put up 20 pts, 5, 5 on 41-42% shooting with how much d'antoni will give him.

Just throwing this out there, since Lowrys injury, we'll need a PG...

Brian Cook and Jermaine Taylor for Sebastian Telfair, Steve Novak and Brian Skinner.

    Hayes/Hill/Andersen
    Scola/Landry/Skinner
    Battier/Harrington/Novak
    Ariza/Budinger
    Brooks/Telfair
    Inj: Ming and Lowry

this would be a great deal for the rockets, cheap talent for a few years, multiple picks, they can all be used for a bigger deal in the summer or in the future. Jordan Hill is just a bonus, he's lottery pick after all.

I doubt we trade any real assets (JT) for a PG. We have Llull stashed away.

    haha sorry I had to.

Does this trade benefit the Rockets more than keeping Tmac's contract and letting it expire?

The 76ers has got to like Harrington (expiring) + Jordan Hill (young talent) + a protected 1st or outright 2nd rounder for Iugodala. Rockets will do if they can avoid picking up Jared Jefferies in a TMac trade.

even assuming he does get PT, the on;y above average thing about the above projected stats would be the 5 assists. At his size and position, with PT, he's expected to rebound, and it doesn't matter how many points you score a game if you're doing it at 42%, unless all you're shooting is threes.

Yes. It gets us under the luxury tax and allows us to resign Scola and Lowry if we want to. Plus we get some very valuable future draft picks and a young prospect. It's really much better.

Oh, and I'm a huge Llull fan!

well his career average is 43% and i don't think he has the lift he once did to shoot 45% anymore. 42% for tmac is pretty darn good, considering arenas barely cracked that coming back from his surgery and he was pretty damn healthy. tmac is not going to be the old tmac anymore. so those are realistic expectations if tmac does make it all the way back.

but the thing tmac will provide for the knicks that they severely lack is playmaking, and we all saw he still had the vision in those brief minutes. 5 assists is the bare minimum. i won't be surprised he'll get more playing with lee, who loves the pick and roll.

I know I'm in the minority, but if he's healthy, i would rather have eddy curry in the deal. I say that because he could start and produce which would raise his trade value for the summer. The fact a big that can produce is worth more in a trade.

Keeping Tmac's contract and letting it expire is the worst case.
There are many team have big salary cap to sign free agend and We have less than 10M even if we give up Scola...
The good free agent can easily find a team give them a good salary which is higher than their true value.
According to our style, you can see that even Gortat do not choose Houston this summer... :(

Would be too much for Iggy. Keep Jordan Hill and give the Sixers Harrington + a protected 1st or outright 2nd rounder. Those could either be the Rockets' or Knicks' pick. I think it will soon become apparent that Philly wants to unload at least one long-term deal before the deadline.
