This is starting to look like a morey trade:

Harrington or Hughes - Expiring Contracts
Jeffries - One more year on the contract: point of contention here as he has 6mil next year owed to him
Jordan Hill - Rookie , lottery pick sitting behind Lee
Knicks 1st round draft pick in 2011 - Should be good unless they shock the world and sign superstars this summer

Still tilts toward Knicks benefitting the most. Hopefully Morey can squeeze another valuable asset out of the knicks.

This shouldn't be lost in the shuffle. Sounds like Moreys got a lot of picks at his disposal to use in another deal.

new york can't trade their 1st round picks 2 years in a row . which means that the 2011 pick is the rockets pick going to new york ... pfff

Nope. Depends on what other offers are already on the table.

I could be mistaken, but I think they are prohibited from trading out of 2 consecutive drafts, but if they're swapping draft picks, then that is within the rules. So if they traded 2011 earlier and then their 2012 for a player, then they'd be SOL, but since they are trading 2011 and "swapping" 2012 for a first rounder, they are ok...

True, but where are his minutes coming from? Can we stick him at the 5 and play small?

    Before this thing blows up...

Jeffries is a player option next year, (which he will most likely take), but it is only one more year. He and Battier will both expire at the same time.

We would get Jordan Hill, young, cheap, good upside.

Switch of 2011 1st rounders. still a good chance that NY will continue to suck

2012 1st rounder might not be protected

Harrington.... if you resign him what does he cost you?

Beautiful work by Morey if this happens. That's two potential lottery picks and another trade chip in Jordan Hill (or Scola if they stick with Hill)!

Like durvasa said, that's a great package for a sign-and-trade provided they don't land LeBron or Wade, and we might not even have to break up much of what we have now.

I think Les is fully prepared to pay some luxury tax next season if it means we get a star this summer, which means they can break BimaThug's rules and sign Scola and Lowry despite the fact that it puts us over the LT. That's why we are taking back Jeffries. I've always liked Al Harrington, I just don't know where his minutes would come from. We aren't the Warriors, he can't play Center.

So it looks like Hill will be coming back in a deal. Where does or how does he fit in with Scola and Landry, at least as far as the rest of this season is concerned?

Ok, if we are gonna try and get Hill, why don't we also get Jared Bayless too? Lute Olsen's team comes to Houston!!! Heck, where's Mike Bibby on our radar?!

    Take the picks Morey.

Tmac may can still play...but can he lead that team to the playoffs without getting hurt? The picks and Hill, I'm liking this one.

This is a great trade for the future, but with Yao aging he doesn't have many years left (if he even comes back)

The best time for the Rockets to win is next year. Although I think we get the better end of the deal in this trade.

Maybe we can somehow land Gallinari and take out the 2nd rounder and 2012 1st rounder?

We would be swapping picks so I'm assuming that rule wouldn't apply.

This could make up for losing Greene & potentially Casspi.

Morey with another nice move. Jeffries is trash but expiring.

Getting Hill and picks is key.

Yep, Chuck plays the 5 at 6'6. Al isn't a defensive beast like Hayes but he does have a height advantage over him.

Chuck for defensive purposes and Al when we need some points.
