If we can keep our 2011 pick and get theirs, I'd consider it.

What's really going to be awesome is when the Knicks use all of this money this summer just to re-sign David Lee and be left standing by themselves at the dance when they don't land LeBron, Wade, or Bosh.

Then they take the rest of that money and blow it on Mcgrady and another mid-level free agent. And they stay mediocre to lottery level, meaning we have two significant draft picks coming our way.

I told you the Rockets would talk about "Gay" and we would end up with "Battier." Nothing really excites me about this proposed trade except maybe the draft picks. rah rah sis boom bah. And the unknown isn't all that exciting. Yawn.

In theory it will be two lottery picks, but let me play Devil's advocate here. What if the Knicks actually do something smart this off season an are a solid-good team and these picks end up being somewhere around 24-29? Is it an attractive move then? I want no parts of Larry Whos?(Hughes) or Jared Jeffries and barely want a part of Harrington's game! Once again, Jordan Hill is all the rage right now, but Landry is better right now, and fortunately, I live for now.

    What?

That's pretty much the worst analogy you could possibly make. The entire principle of those frustrated with the "Gay/Battier" trade is that the Rockets' went for a known, good-but-not-great quality at the expense of the potential upside of a player like Gay.

Here, as opposed to going for a known, good-but-not-great quality like Butler or Igoudala, the Rockets are swinging for the fences with an unknown lottery pick (Jordan Hill) and a pair of potentially-lottery picks. Nothing excites you but the draft picks? Dude, that's the whole point of it!

did I say "close" or did I say I hope the paper work is signed? DM is the only one that knows if things are really close and more importantly done...

Unless, of course, we got Chandler in return.

The question is, will ball dominating stars like LeBron, want to play in D'antoni's system? Or will Amare want to play for him again? Bosh? In a fast paced tempo, but no defense? Dont think so.

I don't think DM will succumb to this. If he does,it will be a very bad move on his part.

LOL pick # 24-29? Are you serious? That means they will have the 2nd-7th best record in the league? Not happening...

The draft picks is what excites me. It will depend on the protection for the Knicks picks. Jordan Hill...meh. Draft picks could be very useful in the offseason in a sign and trade. Rockets 2010, Knicks 2011, and Knicks 2012 has a lot more punch than just the Rockets 2010 and Rockets 2011. Sign and trade would be after this years pick to stay within nba rules.
