why are people glad that we might trade brian cook? he was going to expire anyway.... it's not a "cherry on top" like some of you are saying. we got some picks for our expiring contracts.... not a "genius" move like some of are you are making it out to be. all this time, all ive heard was "morey is going to get something amazing for tmac's expiring" ... well all we got were leftovers this trade deadline.

I agree. We aren't getting Gallo or Chandler in this, chill out.

Knicks are not going to gut their team for Tmac, this isn't Isiah here.

Wait for it now. Stephen A. Smith and T-Mac will have a sit down interview in the near future trashing the Rockets organization.

No, if another trade is going to happen before the deadline it will likely be for a shooting guard. I do think that Scola would be the one on the way out if that happened.

While that's true, we are still gaining significant long-term young talent at the cost of less cap flexibility. I'd say this is the best deal we can get for T-Mac

Obviously they were joking about Cook. Well to me it was obvious.

I also prefer Hughes for the simple fact that Cook can also be thrown in the deal for Hughes.

Chemistry may be important to Rick but so is winning. If Hill shows he can impact the game from the get go, he will most def get minutes over some of the other guys. At this point in time, I don't think Rick believes the Rockets can get to and come out on top this post season.

sorry, my sarcasm meter is broken. when you read a bunch of nonsense from posters, it's hard to distinguish between the people joking and the people being serious.

I can't believe anyone wastes their time arguing with you.

Leftovers? Three potential lottery picks is leftovers?

I thought you had to have half-a-brain to get contributing member status, but I guess you donated a ton of money to blind Clutch from your idiocy.

I think if this goes down, there will be another trade before the deadline, to re-balance the roster. How many PFs will this be?

I could see Harrington being dealt for Camby or B. Miller before Thursday...

Jeffries will likely be dealt this summer. He's the Bobby Jackson/Brian Cook part of the trade. Also, A LOT of teams will be under the cap this summer so that effects trades, as well. We could trade Jeffries expiring to someone who doesn't have to equal trade value.

Does this deal free up enough space for the Knicks to sign two max players?

If so, I'm sure the Knicks feel as if their 2012 pick won't be that high. We may see this as essentially getting 3 nice first round picks. They may see it as losing a bust, a late first rounder, and they might think they'll have the better team next season so the 2011 swap option isn't as much of a gamble.

You have sold me on this exchange. Additionally, Jared Jeffiries is capable of defending frontcourt players at 6'11".
