I was thinking about this... Morey is willing to pay 3M$ cash for picks in general, we are basically paying for 2-3 quality picks, except the Jeffries does impact FA signings next summer. However, this definitely gives us HUGE amounts of flexibility in two summer's time and we would be major players in that market.

You do this deal, then start rooting for Cleveland to win it all this year.

I think we should still look for other options besides this. I think we will need a 3rd team to get involved, such as Washington, Philly, or Chicago.

Why do we need to give up Bud?

With this trade we give up:

    1) a banned player from our squad
    2) 2 players who currenly shine Scola and Landry's shoes for....

A future that currently looks really good for us.....and even better now that the Knicks are screwing themselves as usual.

I Say if it does happen, we should swap Scola for Jamison!

My friend and I were discussing how eastern conference teams perpetually try to get really good really fast. The constant media attention does not allow for multiple rebuilding seasons (see Portland, OKC). I think this definitely plays out for our benefit here.

Exactly. If this deal gets done we are looking very good imo. Oh and congrats on your hour plus

Really good value for the Rockets. I kinda like having Hughes to give us a true SG for the rest of the year. Hill and the 1st round picks are great for us in the future.

Of course there will be plenty of people on here saying it's bad deal and Morey messed up... But none of those people are NBA GMs or NBA Coaches or scouts. Just regular fans who think they know everything and how Les' money should be spent and how Adelman should do his job.

I'm gonna trust the GM on this one. He KNOWS what he is doing.

Precisely. Let's hope Daryl can stay strong on keeping those picks unprotected.

Not trying to be rude, that ain't going to happen. Tracy's injury is a process.

I would rather people stop saying, "I would rather have this, I would rather have that..."

Gallinari is not going anywhere. The Knicks love him right now.

I will never ever root for Lebron James to get a championship. At the risk of being called a horrible Rockets fan, I would be rooting for the Jazz in a Cavs vs. Jazz championship.
