I really hope Maverick is Lebrons true friend, because he has leveraged a freaking friendship into a freaking High Paying Glamorous Career, seriously what makes him or "worldwide wes" qualified to be powerbrokers, and if they pull this off they will have power even outside of lebron. Crazy

LOL The writer nailed it right here.

He wants the goal posts adjusted so he doesn't look bad.

    Woj is a drama queen.

But his articles suck me in every single time.

gone are the days when a single superstar is needed in one team.

that's teh reason why there will be only one MJ and Kobe.

Well, i'll give partial credits to Dwane cuz he's got only 1 ring.

A little over the top Woj, don't ya think?

It's basketball, Paul isn't saving lives or anything. Build a relationship with the city? Please, he's an entertainer, nothing more.

If Paul wants to try and go somewhere else, more power to him, it's a free country.

i dont fault a guy for wanting to go to a team where he can compete, but the difference b/t the nut-puncher and lebron/wade/bosh is that the nut-puncher has two more years on a contract. the other 3 honored theirs and although they might have made waves, but they didnt publicly demand trade.

the nut-puncher seems to be jealous of the free agent signings this year and is feeling left out - its an immature, knee-jerk reaction on his part to demand a trade.

he will probably get what he wants - enjoy new orleans jameer!

Woj should have been a novelist. His writing abilities are wasted as a b-ball opinion writer.

Seriously though, his whole "good vs. evil" thing is laughable. What is Lebron now, Darth Sidious? And is Paul Anakin Skywalker, the pure soul destined to become the dreaded Darth Vader who will unbalance the force?

    1. Riley is the mastermind of the Heat's big three. Lebron's the media hog who aired the decision (and probably made a ton of $$$ in the process), however Riley's the one who pulled the strings here. Dwade (whom everyone conveniently ignores) is far more culpable than James, although there is no "crime" to begin with.

    2. Paul is not a "pure" soul and Lebron isn't "evil", what he did was well within his rights, and certainly not something that should even be called bad or nasty. In the same way, Paul continuing to play in a franchise he has 0% chance of winning a ring in isn't noble, its just plain stupid, unless all you care about is the $$$. Karl Malone, Barkley and Reggie Miller are three people who stayed with their teams long after it became clear they'll never win a ring. Do we go out of our way to praise them for their loyalty (although Malone and Barkley punked out in the end)? Not really, we just call them ringless and continue to ooh and ahh over MJ's 6 rings.

are you kidding me? All 3 you mentioned are quality NBA players, the 3 I mentioned of the Lakers don't belong in the NBA. Mo Williams is an all star, AV was top 5 in +/- in the NBA last year and Gibson was one of the best 3 point shooters in the league just a year ago and outplayed Billups in their finals run in 2007. Not even close.
