If we have a roster full of players everbody would love to have then why haven't teams like Denver came knocking on our doors? Look nothing in life is easy, especially trying to aquire a top 10 player like Melo, but I've got mentally worn out these past two offseasons. I was literally jumping with joy 2 seasons ago when we aquired Artest and was on cloud 9! Then we got knocked out by the Lakers because of dick Crawford, then Yao is out for the season, the following season we don't make the playoffs, even though Morey promised it. Then we have a chance at Bosh, but blow it. Now Melo and we blow it yet again while most teams in the West have gotten better. I'm ready to jump off a cliff right now!
LMFAO dude...there is no press conference in Jersey yet. Chill. And you would want Melo to go to Jersey if not here because the Nuggets will suck! Making it easier for us to get in the playoffs.
Exactly, outside of LA who has to start declining there is no team in the West that has a legitimate claim to being better than the Rockets. And if the Lakers slip we are primed and ready to take that number 1 spot. DD
He's pimping the Knicks picks (and maybe even our 2013 1st rounder) as hard as he possibly can and looking for something of equal value to: 1. Favors 2. AK47's $17.8M Expiring Contract
Seriously, I'm mentally worn out by all of this. Call me a fanatic if you want, but my life is about the Rockets. These past 2 weeks have really taken a toll on my personal life! I've had trouble concentrating at school, work and with my friends. Rockets are my life! I bleed red! But sometimes I take things too far! If yall haven't known by now, I really love Melo! I couldn't wait for him to wear Rockets red! Now my dream is crushed! Crushed I tell ya!
New Jersey, from what it sounds like is offering Harris, Favors, and multiple first rounders, some of which including the GS pick could be lotto picks. To be quite blunt, make an offer with the Rockets that can trump that, without leaving the roster at Melo and a bunch of scrubs. And if you go and call this team a bunch of scrubs, kindly get the hell out and don't come back. The offer New Jersey is making is simply ridiculous. Most people have observed that. Logically, any offer which is even larger is going to be even more ridiculous. And I submit that would be not be good. Irrelevant. The fact that Melo has been on better teams does not automatically mean this is someone you destroy the roster for, otherwise one would argue Lee is indeed superior to Martin having won more playoff games. Of course, I guess you would make that argument. To which I submit that 1. an inexperienced playoff team and 2. The guys around Artest are also pretty good defenders in their own right. Hence my constant rantings on the strength of the Lakers being the ability of Gasol and Bynum to protect the paint to a degree larger then any other team. Also, lol at Asidd claiming that we lost to the Lakers because of the refs. Care to explain?
You seem to be trashing the Rockets pretty good, maybe you should become a Clipper fan. Expectations are much more predictable with a perennial loser.
Dude most of us here all do. At the end of the day, no matter what philosophies we have, we are all Rocket fans. As Bob Marley once said "Everythings gonna be alright." So go to Wal-Mart grab a 6 pack of Red Stripe and drink because our team could be much worse. And if you dont drink, go woo-sah for the Texans game cause that s*** gonna be hype!
Look, I love the Rockets, but I take things too far sometimes. I love everybody on our roster, but if you aquire a guy of Melo's caliber you do it. Sorry if I want the Rockets to win a championship in my lifetime! I might die tomm, who knows! I just want that feeling that all Lakers fans or Celtics fans have!
You forget to mention the Boston, and the Magic, they are contend with Bulls and Hate. So basically, four teams are far better than Melo's Net, and then you have the teams like Hawks, Bucks, who are still better than the Net. Melo would be a big loser if he decides to go to the Net.
I appreciate you being a big fan, but you're supposed to be a Rockets fan, not team Melo. It's ok to be disappointed. Just remember Morey knows we need star power, it's just not easy to obtain. If something like this has "crushed" you, be prepared for some really tough times in your life, because I promise you this is but a blip on what life can do to you. Just relax, enjoy this team and know this orginization will do as much as possible to bring us all a winner.
