You are correct in that Favors hasn't stepped one foot on the court. On the flip side... adding Melo in his prime to a rebuilding franchise AND giving away draft picks is putting a handcuff on a roster to get over the top in my opinion.

IF Favors happens to be a bust then NJ does win out big time.

I guess that's our only hope.

Melo would agree as long as LaLa agrees.

No way Melo signs on to a PGless, Favorsless Nets team...

    They would be crap...

Wait wait wait. New Jersey's willing to give up Harris, Favors, and lotto first round picks for Melo?

Really? If they want to do that, then be my guest. I'm not playing.

New Jersey is really desperate. I never thought it would come to Favors much less Harris! That's like me hearing about the T-Mac trade for Hill, Jeffries, and picks, and then at the last second, "OH BTW WE GOT KEVIN MARTIN!!!". Yeah it cost Landry but screw ya'll Debbie Downers.

The Rockets benefit in this deal. Denver is the biggest winner, then Utah for unloading AK, but then we're right there with Utah by virtue of the repeated screwing of the Knicks. And New Jersey is the biggest loser. They have no assets anymore; their only hope will be to somehow convince CP3 to sign there outright as a FA in 2012, since they won't have jack s**t to trade back to New Orleans in the meantime or even anything of worth to give them in a SnT when that time comes.

Avery said that? It's just talk then. No non-established coach takes young unknowns over sure fire studs. They protect their job, shoot for wins, never the future.

If this trade went down, Jordan Farmar will be all smiles.

I've said all along it was going to be the Nets. Not that it's a difficult prediction to make, rich owner, talented big, moving to NY, celebrity connections, glamor, etc.

Well, at least Melo goes east and not to the Knicks. Why would you sign an extension on a team with little talent and have to contend with the likes of the Miami Hate and Bulls? Guess winning is not high on his list right now.

If NJ is giving up Harris maybe they are getting Billups or Augustin.

you do realize that carmelo will play beyond just this one year, right? y'all are stupid to think that the nets MULTI-BILLIONAIRE RUSSIAN OWNER won't spend bookoos of cash to make that team a contender over the next season or two.

I don't see why everyone is pissed and moody, two teams not named the KNICKS got stronger in the east, which increases the value of our picks!

Not to mention its Media Day!! I'm super excited!! :)
