Surely she went to China with him during the Olympics and saw the type of reaction he got.

More endorsements= More $$$= More Money for Melo= More Money for Lala to spend on butt implants, Gucci and Versace, and BMW's and Mercedes'.

    What's not to get!

Final hurdle? Uh, I think that might be the FIRST hurdle. Carts don't pull horses. Do the Knicks theoretically have the cap space to sign him next summer? I'm sure that info is in the GARM somewhere, but I just can't read through everything. It's too... soul-shattering, I guess.

LOL one more time at LaLa thinking she has some sort of career.

Has LALA ever considered how popular she might be in China if she has any kind of career? Her international exposure to her career is probably real important since nobody knows who she is here. If thats the case she is married to the most popular Rockets and China player along Yao? Then the fans over there could remember her in her career as a celebrity. These people are not very bright on how international fame is just as important to celebrities as much as local. I would say to the megastars international fame is the single most important factor in them being megastars. LALA needs some real agent counciling if thats how they are basing their decisions. There are a thousand LALAs in New York and ten Carmelo Anthonys there on the Yankees team alone. Its a nice place to live but no gurantee of success in New Jersey or New York over Houston. Just ask Tmac and Yao and look at their celebrity. Look at Eva Longoria with Tony down here in San Antonio. Romo with Jessica Simpson in Dallas. Simply rediculous people her making decisions. Beyonce from Houston? Anyways. The Nets look good on them. Have fun in Jersey..

    China?

LOL - what makes anyone think that a celebrity would give two craps about how popular they are in another country?

She isn't selling LALA jerseys or sneakers.

    Come on...lol.

That's probably the most rational description of this whole situation I've read.

on top of that (ASidd_1990), max players arent that worried about the Chinese endorsements as they will get the endorsement they need/want.

When it comes to money, the biggest thing we have is tax free.

I'm pretty sure they can sign him over the summer. Eddy Curry's massive contract expires at year's end.

the part where he's not 20 yrs old anymore. He knows it's important to keep the wife happy, but he doesnt have to be unhappy himself. If both can be happy in NY and all it takes it waiting out the season, then that's his best move. He may lose money contract-wise, but he'll make up some of it through endorsements, tv opportunities, and her higher income.

Just saw that new Jersey would send out both Harris and favors. Why would melody want to go there?

Looks like Charlotte doesn't want to part with Augustin...4 way trades are awfully tough to pull off.

I HONESTLY cant see this trade going through...I really think we can up this offer to denver....i dont think daryl looses without a fight.

Plus I cant imagine melo going to NJ over us with loosing Favors and Harris...the pieces that we trade are spare pieces that will just come off the bench...we add a starter for extra parts...so melo has a better chance of contending.

Right now the probles are ... nets cant get augistine for harris...melo has to sign extension witha crappy team... and money still doesnt match completely.

Sounds like a fail...then we come up and say ok ok....we will throw in sergio lull...to whatever offer we had on the table...and we get mlo.

    @Chris_Broussard

In terms of nearness to getting done, I'm told by sources Melo to NJ in 4-way is 6.5 on a scale of 1-10. NJ would like to get a PG in deal

.......are you serious? I realize this is just txt but I would think the average reader can follow the context of a post and understand what I am talking about.

I was implying that morey will swoop in BARELY offering anything more than scraps (bench players)...so already I have alluded to the fact that morey will be getting a good deal...and I thought itd be obvious that I was meaning hed barely have to give up anything else to close the deal (such as lull)....

kinda like a salesman saying look ill throw in free delivery.

    Sad bro...sad.

I'm fine with the Nets. All I really want is for the Knicks to suck and Anthony not going to the Knicks can only help us.

Can't see melo signing an extension with a Harris-less and Favors-less nets team.

One source close to the talks in Melo-to-New Jersey proposed four-way deal: "It either happens by Monday or the deal falls apart."
