heres what he says.....nothing crazy new but some details behind whats been goin on....if its old news, sorry...its all i got... Again, if Melo would sign w NJ, he would be a Net....but he wont. They are trying to convince him that this is the closest he and Lala are gonna get to NYC....Knicks will NOT give up Gallo and thats why the Knicks are out of the running for a trade....HOWEVER, Melo still has his (and Lalas ) heart set on NY and is starting to take the stance of "well...ill just play out the year, and Ill sign where ever the heck I want...and Hello NY. Melo also thinks that once in NY, he can lure CP3 there to play w he and Amare eventually and challenge the Heat and Bulls. He hasnt said no to Houston....but he also hasnt officially said no to NJ either...but apparently he is about to say no to NJ. Lala doesnt wanna come to Houston and thats our biggest hurdle (well, 2nd biggest next to the fact he wants to be a Knick). Walsh is actually being smart about not giving up the farm here (for once) bc he knows that he will get Melo for nothing next summer....and he can play with Gallo instead of against him
Back away from the computer. Because if he doesnt end up in NJ, you're gonna get your hopes up again only to be disappointed again.
Like I said though.. Its the NETS. Carmelo wants to sign with the NETS? Still skeptical. This is clearly Nuggets favored team to trade with and they are most interested in though. I hope it happens. I really do. As long as its not the Knicks I am fairly happy. could be us but Knicks have nothing to offer anyone except Carmelo Anthony. So its Nets or Rockets still. Rockets the most signable place and easiest place to make a deal. Nets obviously have some snags or this would be done already. They REALLY REALLY dont want to see Carmello in the West and that says alot about how highly they regard the Rockets roster if he is traded here. This is their best option but if their goals is to keep teams from winning with Carmelo and not to get better as a team and make the best easiest deals then they accomplished it with Nets and other teams. If all they wanted is for him to have no chance of winning elsewhere thats what they did here. They also got a young guy who has upside but??? Come on.. Favors at best is the next Nene Halario. Good for them. Good for us because they are in our conference.
ASidd....i agree that i think he may want to play for Houston....i just dont know if Lala is gonna let him. He would be making a huge worldwide marketing splash by playing here with our Chinese audience....unfortunately, his ho dont get that!

Easy team to make a trade with Vs multiple teams involved for the Nets? Yep its about what conference they want him to play in. They are concerned with wins and losses for other teams instead of themselves. Thats cool. :grin:

Just forget about it. It was a longshot anyway. We don't need Carmelo to be a great team. Let him go to the Nets, its not hurting us any.
