Young kid lead a TERRIBLE team to the finals.. also remember what he did to Detroit? Yes, he's proven.
I've seen Wade demoralize and break the back of the Magic by himself. With LeBron and Bosh added to the equation, I see no reason to think the Magic would beat the Heat in a playoff series. Howard is not effective closing out games and this is where the Heat would have a huge advantage over the Magic.
I actually think this team has a chance to roll the best 82-game regular season record ever... LeBron is unstoppable during the regular season.
Howard is a bad match-up for Miami, true. But is that worse than ANY of Q guarding Lebron, Carter guarding Wade or Rashard guarding Bosh? Orlando was really formidable when Rashard & Turkoglu were tearing it up, and even then it was a bit of fools gold because the Lakers handed them pretty easy when it mattered (as did Boston this year with Carter in and Turk out). Also, Cleveland has had one of the best defenses in the league the last couple of years. Yet Mia is better defensively at the 1 (Chalmers vs Mo), 2 (Wade vs West) and the 4 (Bosh vs Jamison)(Lebron = Lebron, though if anything his defense will improve with less O burden)(Shaq/Z about = Z, assuming Z starts for Mia). Sideshow Bob is probably better than Miami has a counterpart, but it isn't that far off with Haslem(excellent individual post defender) or Anthony(good weakside defender and 3rd in the league in BP48). Given they have skilled individual defenders and a front office that is sure to preach defense, they should be one of the better ones. Oh, and Butler isn't signed. Probably he or Hasbrouck (signed but not guaranteed) gets the last of 15 spots.
Since Wade and LeBron are such good playmakers, they could easily play House with the starters at times. In that lineup he'll be deadly. All Eddie has to do is get out beyond 3 and wait for the kick out.
The Heat have a lot of versatile players in the sense that you can play them at different positions. They can go small with a lineup of: House Wade Miller James Bosh That's scary since Wade and James are so good at finding the open man. Even if you take either one of James/Wade out of that lineup and put Haslem/Anthony/Z in there, its a pretty scary line up with Wade/James' playmaking ability. What do you do if Miller and House are hitting .400 from 3 and either Wade or James is hand feeding Bosh layups/dunks around the basket? I can't wait to see what kind of schemes that the best defensive coaches draw up to try to counteract the Heat.
You guys saying that the Heat are not a championship team now are complete morons. If you think our team is a contending team, yet Miami is not... Well... come on guys. Grow up.
