I actually think they'll start Anthony before Z. Illgauskas has more offense than Anthony but with the other 3 there, defense around the basket is more important than anything Z will give them as a starter on the offensive end. Easily a 60-win team
I would love it for McGrady to go there and think he's somehow on the same level as the other 3 only to have reality come crashing down on him when he finds himself behind Mike Miller on the depth charts.
Has any opening day roster ever been >80% composed of free agents signings (or sign and trade)? This has got to be a first.
Big Z / Bosh / Haslem / Howard LeBron / Miller Wade / Miller Chalmers / House Mike Miller is the only player I did not call on this team. I also said Shaq, Luther Head, and Joe Johnson (but I said Bosh and/or Joe would sign with the Heat after the rumors about Joe spread and before the Bosh rumors).
Nope, he re-signed with Miami. With House their roster I think is complete, 1 spot left on the 15 person regular season roster that probably goes to a youngin (Hasbrouck or Butler most likely) Here is what I think their line-up will look like: Chalmers Arroyo (House) (Hasbrouck) Wade (Miller) House Hasbrouck James Miller Jones Bosh Haslem Howard Z Anthony Magloire Pittman --that is an outstanding rotation In terms of total minutes played, I would guess: 1Lebron 2Bosh 2Wade 4Miller (get most back up SG and SF minutes, may finish games with Lebron or Wade acting as point) 4Haslem (get all back-up PF minutes, some shared C minutes with Bosh and may finish the game that way) 5Chalmers 6 Z 6 Anthony 8 Arroyo 9 House 10 Jones --that said I think it will be somewhat open and fluid for PT among Chalmers, Arroyo, House, Hasbrouck--a training camp battle to see who plays best with the stars. Inactive will probably be among Pittman, Howard, Magloire, Jones and Hasbrouck (or Butler for sure if they go for him over Hasbrouck because Butler is rehabbing)
So correct me if I'm wrong but they just paid $5.6 million over two years for Eddie House when you figure they are over the cap, correct?
No they have 17. Lebron Wade Bosh Chalmers Haslem Juwan Howard Magloire Ilgauskas Randolph (Non-Guaranteed) Pittman Arroyo House James Jones Varnado Hasbrouck (Non-Guaranteed) Da'Sean Butler Joel Anthony
