    This.

Plus, losing draft picks is kindnof a big deal when you are lottery bound. ;-)

Lebron didn't screw the Cavs. He was a free-agent. He had a right to leave. He was a douche to do it in a public event, but that's not the same thing as screwing his team over. Danny Ferry screwed the Clippers; Steve Francis screwed the Grizzlies; Kobe screwed the Hornets.

Correct, which is why no one is claiming that Lebron should be forced to come back and play for the Cavs.

Gilbert's investigation is not so much focused on LEBRON'S actions as it is focused on those of the Miami Heat, in contravention of league rules.

I'll be the first to agree with you that both (a) Lebron was free to sign wherever he wanted and (b) he was a douche to do it the way he did it.

Remember how Wolves forfeited 5 first round picks and KG's stuck in mediocre team? That's what Gibert wants. Hundreds of thousands is small money in NBA, if they get a 2nd round pick from Heat for free, it's already worth it.

Even if there was anything illegal Stern would never let anything happens to his pet.

Snyder wants to injure the Heat (and LeBron by association) as much as possible.

I doubt Stern will take action, regardless of the evidence.

Yeah I mean I just meant he kind of just screwed them in a way by not sayin anything before his little decision BS.. I know they got picks and what not in a sign and trade so they did get something but the whole thing was a mess.

But yeah, what you are sayin is actually worse in the grand scheme of things aka winning for the teams that Francis, Kobe, and Ferry screwed over.

Regardless... he still has a right if those are the rules. Let him waste his money how he wants.

Gilbert might try to sue the Heat for damages. There's no question the value of the Cavs franchise is less without LeBron and there's no question ticket sales will plummet now that LeBron is gone. There are real dollar effects to this alleged tampering.

There is only one reason for this:

LerBon had sexual intercourse with Gilbert's wife pre-Decision.

Gilbert is doing it out of jealousy and pure hatred. Not because he feels that he wants to uphold the credibility of the NBA. If there's one person more spoiled than LeBron in Cleveland, it's Dan Gilbert. Him and Mark Cuban could be a perfect couple.

How exactly did a FREE agent going to whatever team he chose to completely within his contractual rights "screw" anyone?

Even though hundreds of thousands of dollars is chump change in the NBA, im hoping that their is some substance or grounds for this investigation and that its not entirely a ploy to soil Lebron's reputation.

What the hell are the Cavs complaining about? Didn't they do a sign and trade with Miami where the got back some picks?

So technically Lebron never signed with Miami so there is no violation of league rules.

Get off Lebron's and the heat's dick. Yes he's within his contractual right to sign with anyone but it's not within his legal rights to have secret meetings or conversations while he was still on the Cavs. If he was already thinking about the next season, that couldve effected his play during games that season. Also there is class and etiquette in sports, and there is such a thing as leaving with class. In any case, if the Heat were illegally tampering with free agents during the season then Dan Gilbert should have every right to investigate. Just because something happened a long time ago doesn't make it okay. If someone commited murder 30 years ago that person doesn't get a free pass just because it happened a long time ago. You know why that is? To deter people from doing it. The miami heat need to be reprimanded in some way if they did in fact do something illegal. Also clean the sand out of your vagina, bud.
