Some very cool quotes by members of the Colorado Rockies on our Rockets in this blog. And the question posed by the blogger is interesting, which streak is more impressive, what the Rockies did to get into the post season and to the WS last year, or our current streak?

The 1st responder is an idiot and is clearly just hating. The 2nd responder, Dean James STL, is me. In my opinion, our streak is more impressive because we don't have that extra feeling of urgency of do-or-die that the Rockies had. We MAKE ourselves believe we are in that situation every single night. That mental toughness is unparalleled in pro sports, and probably only rivaled by Woods and Federer. But even comparing ourselves to Tiger and Roger we have an advantage in the magnitude of the achievement because the Rockets play a team sport. A screw-up on any given night by any player can easily mean a loss. But the "It Takes 5" concept is so strong and so thoroughly ingrained in this team that players have picked each other up on a ridiculously consistent basis.

Anyway, I just wanted to share what I found while browsing through the myriad of Yahoo sports pages. Something to chew over while we enjoy this amazing streak and the buzz of spring baseball is upon us.
