When a dive for a rolling ball is one's favorite memory of a player....Reefer should just retire and give it all up. He successfully bamboozled the league for about 10 years.

    That was his greatest success.

He would be more successful because Lowry is not going to jack up shots he knows he is not going to make. He knows he is not a good shooter. Rafer did not just take open shots, he took quick and contested shots on a regular basis.

He was, is, and always will be a steaming pile of **** on the basketball court.

    Rafer/Chalmers
    Wade
    Beasley
    Haslem
    O'Neal

The Heat should be tough in the East.

    0-Cavaliers
    1-Boston
    2-Orlando
    2-Miami

Yes, they are tied for second.

WTF? Rafer goes to the heat and suddenly they're on par with the Magic? And why are the Cavs 0?

They are a shade below the Magic. I firmly believe the Heat would take the Magic to 7 games if they met in the playoffs.

LeBron is 0, because he was picked to be this generation's 23.

I hate to break it to you, but Rafer sucks. He won't help that team at all unless their goal was to improve their ranking in offensive rebounding by missing a lot more shots.

Why do people keep saying this crap? He CAN'T run an offense well, see the video above. He doesn't know how to use a pick, he doesn't do a good job of getting the ball to the team's best player, he takes a lot of bad shots. All he can do is dribble the ball past half court without turning it over. I understand that a lot of people around here think that means he can run an offense because they were used to watching Luther Head turn it over every time he put it on the floor, but running an offense means more than this.

That ranking is awful and doesn't make any sense.

    From Rotoworld

Rafer Alston, whose contract was recently bought out by the Nets, is poised to be signed by the Miami Heat, where he should quickly move into the starting lineup.

The Nets acquired backup point guard Chris Quinn for a heavily protected draft pick on Tuesday, clearing the way for Alston to go to the Heat. Quinn has no fantasy value, but Alston should probably be picked up in most fantasy leagues, as he's expected to replace current starter Carlos Arroyo if he does officially sign with Miami. Sorry for the confusion, I was poking some fun at Ariza for his "Rafer-like" qualities.

I was implying that maybe Ariza is not really on our team, but it's just Rafer pretending to be Ariza (in SPIRIT).

It's is generally agreed on the BBS that Ariza has replaced Rafer as the most frustrating Rocket to watch. This title solely belonged to RA in previous years. And, just when we thought we were rid of our "consistent" 3 for 18 shooting, 5M per year, wanabe superstar.......another one shows up in red to replace his "production".

I want to make it clear that I don't really hate Ariza or Rafer. They are good players, when they stick to their strengths. Its just that both are so awful at shooting anything but wide open uncontested shots--but keep shooting ill-advised shots anyway.

If you are still confused, call me on the RED phone. :p
