And chaos descended upon clutchfans as members spout vindictive sparks upon the heretical Kelly Dwyer...

The only way this list is comprehensible is if he is basing it on the stats for this upcoming season taking into account Yao's limited minutes. However he did say that on some nights he will be the best center in the league.

Accepted because Kelly has explained clearly why Yao is not in the top 5

Yes, Yao is #11. Lee wants to be #11, but Yao won't give it up.

but yes. I cant immediately think of 5 centers better than a rehabbing, 20 mpg Yao either. but...

    Bogut
    Dwight
    Okafor
    Chandler?
    Nene?

Currently Okafor, Chandler are both ranked below a Rehabbing Yao in this Article.

I am guessing the Top 5 has to be

    DH
    Bynum
    Noah
    M.Gasol
    Lopez

All of them healthy (except for Bynum but he stays on the floor) and have pretty good number.

Come on now, this guy watches all the games in all the world, he clearly knows more than the average fan on here.

    [/sarcasm]

Come on, it is just a list of another NBA fan, it is his opinion, no more important than you or I.

If you are going to hold it against him for being out, then you should probably not even rank him until next year. What the point of saying he may be good or he may not- it depends. He's clearly the best offensive center in the league, and one of the only ones that teams will have to run special defenses for.

He is a good writer, fun to read, and has a nice take on most stuff.

Ranking articles are what you do in the dog days of summer or when there is nothing else to write about so it fills up the space, generates clicks and debate.

Don't give up on missing some good articles just because he is going through writers block.

I can see Yao not top 5, given the concerns over his health. But come on, he's easily superior to say, Nene, Noah, or Bynum (whom is never healthy for the playoffs either), all whom I think will be top 10.

I'm pretty sure Kelly could come up with better material taking a dump than DD could with any post.

"On some nights, for some stretches, he'll be the best center in basketball. So give him a year to get his bearings straight and then it's right back in the top five (or higher) next year. "

Agree with this. When he's fully healthy and conditioned, he's Top 5, if not higher.

I respect and like Dwyer's writings but if he manages to squeeze Greg Oden into the Top 10 I have to seriously wonder what his ulterior motives when he puts out lists like these.
