Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, the Phoenix/Cleveland deal makes too much sense folks. If Phoenix cannot get him to re-sign, I think this definitely has legs. Forget all the Shaq/Amare problems. It makes too much sense for both teams. Cleveland essentially hands over J.J. Hickson and maybe a draft pick or two, Phoenix gets a young up and comer and saves a ton of money. That deal just makes too much sense and Cleveland has to be pushing for it.

This is very bad news for the Rox, cause they can easily have first dibs on the best deal because of Stoudemire's expiring contract and he's actually playing, and is an all star. Can you image Iggy on that Phx team? Jeez.

Simple. They want to show LeBron that they're always trying to improve. Team chemistry be damned. Gotta keep the King happy.

Yup, Phoenix would basically hand him over for nothing.(Just like they did in the Shaq trade.) Suns save money but get much of nothing else. But why not take the risk? If it doesn't work out, James, Stoudemire, and Shaq are all expiring and Cleveland can maybe start over.

Is JJ Hickson and late first rounders worth Amare? I would think the Suns could get a lot more for him -- hell, Landry > Hickson, so even Tmac/Landry should be more attractive.

I don't see the 76ers as players - they'd want to move a bad contract, which I'm sure the Suns have no interest in. Whoever trades for Amare is trading for the player, not the cap relief -- as in, they will have to give up talent and not just high contract guys.

the suns fans are the DUMBEST fans on earth. they think tyrus thomas is better than landry, um ,,okay, probably sit on their fatasses watching sportscenter ,see a couple of tyrus dunks and think he is better than landry

then they think heinrich is better than battier

then they want to rebuild yet want a massive albatross in deng or heinrich

then even though landry scores at a better rate than amare, they think landry + battier is a drop off in offense compared to just amare

wow they are dumb and so is kerr. he had a chance last year to trade amare + barnes for brooks+landry+tmac (i had inside info, deal was already printed up to goto league but at last minute new coach gentry stopped in hours before happening)

so now, they lose amare for NOTHING. they probably will trade him for expirings, when they EASILY could have had tmac(can be traded for iggy and dalembert + brooks + landry

so kerr thinks zyrunas ilgaskus > iggy+landry+brooks doesnt get any dumber than that folks. i know morey makes mistakes but kerr is going to run that franchise into the ground....the good news is that the suns are now going to NOT make playoffs because of this so that puts rockets in.

Hickson, a first or two, and $10M in savings isn't bad for a player that will probably leave this summer. No team is going to give up anything significant if he doesn't sign an extension first.

No, Hickson and late rounders aren't worth it. I also agree that I think they could do better. I guess whichever team offers the most financial relief they'll choose? Not sure. But that Cavs-Suns trade is a giveaway.

    lowry/conroy
    barbosa/battier
    ariza/budinger
    amare/scola
    yao/hayes/anderson

why not? gives us our sg and more size upfront, beast in amare plus more offense in starting lineup. (i know it wont go down because of lux tax though, just experimenting)

If they'd take Ariza instead of Shane.... I'd do it. And maybe swap out Landry and give them Scola.

i feel sorry for the team that trades for amare.,they are going to get SCREWED several ways

rumors are that a team or teams will pay him max or close to it, kerr isnt that dumb,so there is a gm dumber than kerr

amare wants to sign with a team for max, plus have a chance to win. more than likely that team will trade for him for a re-signing instead of a 1/2 year rental

lets say its the bulls, okay, they give up miller, tyrus thomas, and 1st round draft pick 2010

    1.they lose 1st pick 2010,
2.they lose a decent backup pf in tyrus
3.they max out immediately to lux tax, cant sign anyone else in 2010 or beyond, after re-signing amare to max
4.amare injury prone because he plays with reckless abandon, not the same player as years ago,NO defense whatsoever, cant block or rebound, refuses to play time at center, thinks hes better than he really is(like tmac),and its been proven without nash his per goes down and not the same player
5.even suns fans say he is a shell of himself

analogy : basically look at it another way, if your the bulls or warriors or cavs, do you trade your 2010 1st round pick, plus tyrus thomas and brad miller to sign Carl Landry to a 20,000,000 per year contract for the next 6 years ? I didnt think so. (btw, landry is better than amare without nash)

So the Cavs got Shaq. Now they want Amare. What's next? Nash?
