I think the real question is why are you trying so hard to prove his cultural background? why do you give a shet
I thought the opening was very well done... and wasn't it at like a tenth of the price of China's? The cracking ice effects and the whales where pretty stinkin' sweet.
I thought the ceremony overall was pretty dull, but K.D. Lang's version of Hallelujah was moving. Hopefully things do start working out for the city though. This hasn't been the most auspicious start for the Games so far.
I live in Vancouver and the downtown area was crazy last night. Everyone was in such a festive and happy mood and people were waving Canadian flags everywhere. If Canada doesn't win gold in mens hockey I think downtown is gonna become a riot zone.
This is sweet...although I'm not going anywhere near the events due to the prices and traffic. haha...still sweet though.
Owen is a good guy to work with. We've gotten some good stuff together from our trips to Salt Lake City and Vancouver.
Considering that he's completely avoiding the question, you obviously were. I thought the ceremonies were nicely done. The introduction of more individual performances instead of mass armies of performers was a nice contrast to China's opening ceremony.
They don't show much of the Winter Olympics where I am located right now, but I wanted to know if Wolf Parade was featured predominantly in the Opening Ceremonies?
Don't you mean the Korean guy was robbed? That was the year when they made the real controversial call about "blocking" or whatever.
There are only a handful of good Women's teams in the world. Not enough to really fill out even an 8 team tournament. There are going to be some blowouts. Canada beat Slovakia 18-0 last night.
