LOL, you guys already got lucky once, what are the chances that you will be able to do it again? Extremely low, one of the Russian players said the Canadian players were like a gorilla being let out of its cage when they played us. Watch, this time they will be like a Killer Whale flying out of its little water tank!! We kinda stopped playing today against Slovakia cause we got bored, that won't happen against you guys! Might as well hand over the gold medal right now, why bother playing in a blowout?
amazing how, after losing the only match they've played against the USA so far, Canadian fans are somehow talking MORE crap now!
All I can say is, thank you for winning the first game, you woke up a sleeping giant. Also listen to what Mr. Roenick has to say, he knows his hockey.... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/blog/99201/index.html Jeremy Roenick thinks Canada is favorite over Team USA NHL Olympic hockey analyst Jeremy Roenick joined the show to talk about the remaining teams. Roenick is very impressed by Team U.S.A. "They're turning heads and they're turning heads all over the world," Roenick said. Roenick said no one thought Canada would beat Russia as badly as they did. A lot of people had Russia winning it all coming into these Games. Dan asked Roenick who he would like if the U.S. faced Canada in the gold medal game. "I have to go with Canada as much as I'd love to pick the United States and go with my heart and my home country," Roenick said. "But Canada is such a strong, strong team." LOL, I'm surprised an American even knows what a hoser is, good on you brah!
Yey! there is a mexican in the Olypmic Winter Games! He got in 78 of 93 competitors, but he got in the Olympics hehe. He obviously doesnt practice in Mexico, but its nice to see a mexican there
Roenick's comments were made before USA destroyed Finland and Canada barely slipped by Slovakia. I wouldn't necessarily expect him to change his pick, but he might be questioning it a little more than he was before. If both teams played how they played today then USA has an excellent chance at upsetting Canada for the 2nd time.
Roenick says that USA is playing well, but he thinks Canada is the favorite. No crap--someone is picking the team that has much more talent to be the favorite? I think everyone would agree with that. But you're sitting here and saying that Canada is gonna blow out the US. It'd be like the Royals beating the Yankees 5-1 and 4-1 in the 1st 2 games of a series, and then both teams throwing their starters from the 1st game again and Yankees fans saying "come on! All you did was make us realize we have to try. You're gonna lose 10-0" Really? I think I'd give the team that won the 1st game and dominated in the semis a chance at least
i don't wanna get too cocky, but the americans appear to be a little to overconfident. miller saved ur asses the first game... it could possibly happen again.. but it's not likely. It's not like you guys 'outplayed' us in the prelims. we dominated but ur goalie is a ****ing god.
If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black . . . It's not like Miller playing well was a fluke. He's been the best goalie in the tournament. Hell, he's been arguably the best goalie in the NHL this season. Teams ride hot goalies through the Stanley Cup Playoffs all the time. They're like dominant pitchers in baseball. It doesn't matter what kind of lineup you have, if an ace is on his game, he can shut you down. What it ultimately comes down to is offense vs defense. Canada has the most goals (America 2nd). USA has allowed the fewest goals (Canada 5th).
nope? if you watched the replay, the korean guy tripped and grabbed onto Hamlen's skates while falling away, thats why Hamlen touched the Korean basically to regain balance
