Are you by chance using Norton Security, firewall, antivirus, et al? If so, I can tell you what your problem is and how Norton ate your Outlook. It got my Outlook XP and Outlook Express 6 both (see thread below).
Got the MS Office Professional 2000 discs from the charity installed and all seems well. Much todo over nothing. I think the first time we installed it we only got one disc and that may be why it kept asking for the Office disc. But that was a couple of years ago and I can't remember. Thanks for eveyone's help, I'd be happy to return the favor but the only things I have any expertise in are investments and golf. But anytime....
the second disc is only additional artwork and other add-ons that aren't used by most people... but Im glad that it worked for ya..
