    Yeah, but how many cell phone services do you know that say for $500 you can make calls for the rest of your phone's life? :)

    This is straight from the Terms and Conditions at Sirius website:

    4. Transfer Fee: If you wish to transfer your Subscription to a different SIRIUS Receiver during the term of a prepaid subscription or committed subscription period, we may charge you a transfer fee of up to $75.00. You may only transfer a lifetime Subscription to a different SIRIUS Receiver a maximum of three times.

    Thanks wesnesked. Is that from a recent contract? Based on the wording on their site and what updawg said the rep told him, it seemed like it was tied to the unit.

    I'm thinking about calling them up and finding out if $75 transfer fee is true. A $75 transfer fee basically means you're paying them for another 5-6 months of service. Sneeeeaky. ;)
