The hard drive is out in Japan, it was released for Final Fantasy XI. I'm not sure if any other games will use it or if it will actually make its way to the US or not. There is also a hard drive that comes with the Linux kit but can't be used for games.
Well, Sony was originally supposed to release the hard drive and the internet adaptor simultaneously. However, they pushed back the hard drive until more games that could use it were released in the US market. Now last I heard they were still planning on releasing it in the US, but they didn't know when. I'd say sometime shortly before or after FF XI is finally relased over here. Also, XBOX suffers from the fact that very few of it's games are exclusive to the platform. I'm just waiting for Splinter Cell to be relased on the Cube and PS2 in March, then there goes most incentive for me to buy a Box. Finally, I've got both a Cube and a PS2 and I'm enjoying both of them, even though I only have a few Cube games (Metroid Prime, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Eternal Darkness, and Resident Evil). Mostly apart from Metroid I still play the PS2 (FFX, GTA:VC, LOTR:TT, Maximo, Robotech: Battlecry, MKA, NCAA FB 2003, Kingdom Hearts, State of Emergency, couple of older ones). Once Devil May Cry 2 comes out late this month I'll be even more a PS2 fan.
Anyone in here watch the show The Screen Savers? well i was watching one a couple days ago and a guy on the show took a computer tower took out the stuff in it and put a xbox,gamecube,ps2, regular nintendo, and an atari in it and had the wires and stuff needed to hook it up, it was awesome!
Yeah, I saw that. I was drooling the whole time. I forgot how much it all cost, but I think it was VERY expensive...at least for me anyways...I'm sure there are several billionaires on this site.
XBOX=$200 PS2=$200 GC=$150 Nintendo=Not sure, but surely not more than $150 Atari=See Nintendo...$150 Total=$850
Does anybody have problems with their PS2? Mine doesn't load NBA 2K3 and some other games it says dirty disc. PS2 is really pissing me off, it keeps messing up on me.
I really dont think a hard drive would do much for my PS2 now. I have two memory cards....so save space isnt a problem. As for the internet thing for PS3...I'd like two options. 1. To be able to go to a site, download things like game saves, demos and updates. Then I plug my PS3 into my computer and take those files off my computer and onto my PS3. 2. I'd like to be able to log onto the net (Or Sony server) with my PS3 and brows a special PS3 World where you could download heaps of stuff and play games online. I think option 1 should be able to be used right off the bat as soon as you get your console. Option 2 will likley need a modem to be installed.
I gotta say the "XBox Rules" posts are really making me consider selling my PS2 and just playing Xbox all day long.
