That's not confirmed... there may (strong may) be some backwards compatibility, but most then likely many of the Xbox 1 games won't work on the 360. The chipset and GPU for the 360 are completely different architecture and are being produced by different companies then those of the first Xbox; so backwards compatibility is going to be a huge issue to say the least. I imagine that the Halo games will be high priority, but either way... waiting 4 months to play Halo 2 is almost sacrilidge http://xbox.ign.com/articles/639/639136p1.html
The Halo games are practically a gauranteed lock to work on the 360. I read somewhere that only the top selling Xbox games will work on the 360. All he needs now is Xbox Live. That's the only way to truely experience Halo 2 multi-player. If I were him, I'd sell my Xbox about a month before the 360. That way I can get whatever value left out of it. That's if he doesn't buy any other games for it. Agree?

Halo 2 comes with two free months of Xbox live ;-)... and you don't really get jack for Xbox's now anyway... haven't for a good 6 months or so, the PS2 Slims have a much higher resale value because PS3 is still a year off and the slim has online built in. Either way, most people would rather just fork over the 150 for a brand new Xbox, then try and get off saving 30-40 bucks buying one on eBay. I have an Xbox, and it'll make a good doorstop when I get my 360 or I'll be nice and give it to a nephew or something.
I dont have much money to buy the 360, and I want to play some games. It cost $3000 mexican pesos its like $300 dollars, the Xbox came with 3 games: Ninja Gaiden, Rallisport challenge 2 and Blinx 2. I want to buy the GTA San Andreas.
