The sad part he's way older then you red. he should just let the people who paid $500 for this system to talk amongst themselves . this **** ain't that important. It's a game system. People buy it to entertain themselves.
I believe you're talking about me? I am a Microsoft Fanboy, but at least you know where I stand (see signature). With that said, I have absolutely no problem bashing bad Microsoft products when they occur, or when they do something ridiculous... but the Kinect 2.0 on Xbox One is not one of those things, not by a long stretch.
Your signature states you are a Microsoft fanboy, so perhaps people will take everything you say with a grain of salt, just sayin... But yeah, seems like xbox one will have better games in the near future, just like last gen, and ps4 will have better games in the long run, just like last gen. I couldn't pass up Titanfall, looks to great for a multiplayer junkie like myself. So, what made Titanfall so amazing when you played it? And how many players in a match at once? Is it a mere six vs six like cod (which is lame) , or is it much more than that? Also, since you claim to have sources within Microsoft, do you know if quantum break / halo 5 are both releasing in 2014?
Man, I just feel like I have no choice but to temporarily switch to xbox one at this point. My PS4 is collecting dust, and I'm bored out of my mind with it. Boring games - Killzone flopped big time, just like Killzone 3. Knack is a joke. And Resogun is over-rated and gets boring way too quickly. I really wish they offered a kinect-less SKU though....
FYI - I work at Microsoft (although in the Services division). I've run my website and was a Microsoft Fanboy long before I worked for them, for whatever that's worth. I tell people I am a fanboy, because I know I can be biased because I am passionate about just about everything Microsoft. However, I feel it is my job as a fanboy (and now an employee) to prove why Microsoft products and technologies are great - and for the most part I feel I do a pretty great job of that. Of course me being outspoken turns some people off, and that is fine. But I truthfully only buy in to the great things Microsoft does and have no problem praising competitors and putting a spotlight on Microsoft shortcomings. Unfortunately the Xbox team is extremely tight lipped about anything, I don't have much more information than the general public even though I engage frequently with Xbox team members and executives in internal communications... and even if I did (but seriously I don't), I'm under NDA like all employees. I do know that Remedy won't rush Quantum Break as they are perfectionists, but I'd imagine October time frame. As far as the new Halo goes, it has been like Fort Knox. I'd guess for a holiday 2014 release based upon all of the public information I've gathered, including job postings for 343 Industries.
Sup, using internet explorer on my xbox one right now. I know cool story bro, well it looks better than the 360 but i have no games atm. Gamertag is Matquaz281
The same reason Sony tried to force Blu Ray on consumers when it wasn't even clear which format (BR or HD-DVD) was going to last and including it would raise the price significantly over the competition. Because they wanted Blu Ray to survive. It was far more important to them than the immediate health of the PS3. And sales at the beginning of the generation reflected that. The same could possibly happen to the XBOX. Or, as the PS3 demonstrated, it could be all fine in the long run. But the strategy is nothing new, and in gaming Sony adopted it completely last gen.
Hey, I actually agree with your post. The difference is that the Kinect isn't new tech. The Kinect 1.0 has been out for over three years and they haven't done much with it. Outside the few games of Dance Central and Kinect Adventures, I found no use for it. Is there something I probably missed that they are planning to do that will make it worthwhile?
Do you guys think we should have a "console wars" thread? I don't mind some of these discussions, but I don't know if it is best for these threads to be filled with that stuff, especially since only a minority of people probably even care about that stuff. Could put sales talk, tech talk, Kinect discussions, upcoming games that will determine the outcome of the war, etc., all in there. These threads can stick to how to find the systems, what games to get, sharing account names, etc. Some of this seems to just come from drive by posts, likely with no intention to have an actual discussion (just spreading FUD), so not sure that will help much, but maybe something to try. Just a thought.
I'd enjoy that....there is sure to be some good action with a thread like that. I'll get my popcorn ready.
Couldn't tell you, as I don't have a next (current?) gen system yet. From what I read it is "improved" tech and certainly seems more integrated into the OS and the whole thing was built around that integration. Regardless, it isn't really a 'difference', in that it doesn't change the intention/strategy. Much like Blu Ray, MS obviously wants Kinect to be a big part of using the xbox and wants it to succeed, so they make the same concessions. New or improved tech, the goal is the same. Whether it pans out in the end like it did for the PS3 remains to be seen.
Am I watching people that haven't got an XBone and that haven't used Kinnect on it arguing about how good it is/isn't?
I just hate how immature and annoying fanboys of all kinds, PlayStation fanboys in particular, are. Just get the system you prefer and that's it. Sheesh.
