I bought it Tuesday. My wife & I finished the campaign on normal yesterday(I can't get her to play on Legendary to start with). I've still got to get the 4 player Vidmaster challenges, do firefight, and of course beat it on Legendary. This game was certainly different then any of the others. Campaign is like mixing GRAW & Halo. Really short though. I want to say it was 5 hours or so on normal when we did it. Outside of achievements, the game gives you little desire to play campaign again. I'd say unless you want Recon, or you need the multi-player maps, it really isn't worth $60. Maybe firefight will change my mind, though I doubt it.
Playing Halo, after a 1 year absence, made the gameplay look so slow, compared to Call of Duty. The game is fun though. 7/10
Yeah "Best Buy" does not honor the toys r us price... just spent an hour and a half going back and forth about the fine print in the store. I was even buying the fallout 3 expansion pack and a year xbox live membership also but they wouldnt do it. I finally just left empty handed and frustrated. Thanks for the tip guys. Who did this actually work for and why?
Probably dependent on the store. I don't know why Best Buy would do just $40, but if they match, why not do the $60, but give a $20 BB GC? Same goes for Walmart, but I have no idea what Walmart's policy is.
I play Halo 3 multi-player (Social Slayer or Lone Wolves because I'm too cheap to buy all the new maps) about 2/3 times a week, and I haven't even bothered to play the campaign. I've tried it a couple of times and just found it to be boring compared to playing with live people. Is there something wrong with me? By the way, if anyone is interested in playing Halo sometime, my gamertag is "byucygnus"
I know tons of people that don't play campaign, but I do. I'm also an achievement w**** in these games.

I added both of you. My gt is "Rocket786." Firefight is a blast! Played for 2 hrs last night and then had to go to bed. . I miss the college days where I could stay up all night and play Halo. Still no game with gameplay as fun as the Halo games to me. It's near perfection!
ugh, all the more frustrating seeing as i reviewed that exact verbage before i went. honestly i think it didnt work bc i was polite to the people helping me and didnt make a scene. the girl at the counter gave me nothing but attitude. just awful customer service. ill just stick to shopping online from now on probably. the whole thing was like YOURE A JERK
