They worked that line into the movie. It's supposed to be a wink to people who saw that video, but instead of an eye wink, it's more like a brown eye wink...
I knew the line was in the movie, and was expecting to hear some groans when it came up, but the crowd apparently loved it. Not everyone spends too much time on the internet apparently.
what happens after the credits role? I totally walked out before the end and I had no clue cuz i avoided all spoilers. I thought it was great. As an xfan I can understand the liberties Ratner took with the characters, its not a replica of the comics. Get over that and your good. Mutant powers and fight scenes were portrayed in a way I never thought possible outside of cartoons. Even Beast's fight scenes were smooth.
I just saw it and thought it was great. I'm not an X-Men fanboy, though, so I wouldn't know what changed from the comics and whatnot.
Careful there. If you're going to mention big news then at least put a spoiler alert before it. I just got back from seeing the movie, and I wouldn't recommend it to hardcore X-Men fans who follow the storylines closely, as it deters a lot from them. It's weird, since at times throughout the movie it felt like not enough was going on...but as a movie as a whole it felt like too much was going on. I agree though, if you're going to the see the movie for Storm (whom I think is portrayed by the worst possible actress for the role), Wolverine, Magneto, and Beast, then you will probably enjoy it. But don't expect any of the other characters to get much screen time.
just got back from seeing it and I was quite pleased. I missed what happened after the credits unfortunately but I probably will see the movie again in the future and remember to stay on then. Action sequences were good, but like most I felt the movie to be a bit too short, hopefully they will make an extended cut (that seems to be the rage these days) on dvd. A lot of new characters (to the movie franchise) and not much development on those characters. A few things I saw coming others did not. If you like any of the xmen movies you'll like this one quite a bit and if you are in the mood to be entertained its worth watching 7/10 imho
I just saw it.... it was a great entertaining movie IMO. That's all that matters, I don't care if they botched the real storyline. Hugh Jackman does great as Wolverine, I can't wait for his spin-offs. Jean Grey was creepy as heck. BTW if you want to know what happened after the credits, highlight this: Someone is lying in a hospital bed... A nurse comes in... he says "Laura?" then the nurse says... "Charles?" So I guess he survived Pheonix' attack. Don't know how though. ^I hope white works because I can't edit and I would hate to get bashed by everyone! Anyone know if there's going to be an X-Men 4?
LOl I'm using a black background too...good thing I already had an idea of who dies and whatnot. I really do want this movie to tank cause I despise Fox for the way they handled it... if it does blow me away then I'll be pleasantly suprised but like I said, I'm not expecting that to happen. Cause I know I'm gonna be pissed as hell about certain characters "leaving." And I'm not a huge fanboy; I didn't read the comics but was very much into the animated show. But I will be pissed if they don't handle certain storylines (i.e. the Phoenix Saga) with the respect and care it deserves. And it doesn't look like they did. I still don't get the need for them to throw in so many new characters when it was obvious they wouldn't get the screentime or development they needed. And then caving into Halle's demands and giving Storm more screen time...whatever.
I thought it was ok. Another 30 minutes of movie wouldnt of hurt it me thinks. Kitty looked too young for ice man?
