Not a huge Chris Nolan fan, but this does look amazing.

I like Jonathan Nolen's brother's movies, even if they are a bit overstuffed (Don't let 'em leave, Murph!). He usually does interesting things w/ big budgets and capable actors. This one's a definite see for me, but I like history.

I think Nolan is looking for the next Malcolm Mcdowell. Harry Styles has that look about him. So does James Bay, who should give acting a try.

It's been known Nolan is a Kubrick fan. Harry might just be the next big thing after this movie.

The trailer looks solid, though not much "different" from a really well done war movie. Could have been a Ron Howard trailer or Spielberg.
Just saying I expect a slightly different look from Nolan.

I don't know who Harry Styles is, but I'm sure if he made it into a Nolan film he's fine.

Looks good, but I just hope it's historically accurate.

Nothing worse than a movie based on a historical event....that isn't historically accurate.

The rumor is that the majority of the film is silent. Very little dialogue.

    I was thinking.

Agent: I got you the lead in Dunkirk!
Hardy: No deal without a mask of some sort.

Which is so unfortunate because he has such an interesting, expressive face. Total bummer.

I think he's taken some of his roles too far to heart.

I thought the version of the trailer at Rogue One on IMAX was excellent. Started with mysterious run to the pier with stretcher. ended with Great dog fighting. But that recent trailer was very different and disappointing in comparison.

Saw an advanced screening of this last night in iMax and thought it was amazing. The cinematography was fantastic and the sheer scale of some of the shots are nuts. Couple of things:

I wish he had spent a little bit more time explaining the situation in Dunkirk. Nolan does this a lot in his films but the audience is left piecing certain things together that could've been explained a little bit better.

Still trying to figure out how the kid died, seems like Murphy's character just knocked him over and then boom. Dead. Was a little odd.

    Other than that fantastic experience.
