Nolan said, "been there, done that" to the idea. Hardy said the same thing.

Bane will not make a return.

Oh, and you might need the closed captions to understand him, but that goes for most of the show regardless.

I hate historical movies, because I don't believe half of what these movies are recounting as fact: history books lie so much it ain't even funny.

Who said other countries didn't help? It was called the allies for a reason.

You live in America and America was a crucial part of turning the tide. Why wouldn't most of the movies made be around them? There isn't some conspiracy to not include other

im a history dork so ill be seeing this one for sure.

id say operation barbarossa and stubborn refusal to withdraw was the biggest tactical error.

or his decision to declare war on the united states after we declared war on japan.

I had the privilege of seeing this teaser trailer in an IMAX theater along w/ the IMAX sound effects a few days ago. It did not disappoint.

So, this is a war SURVIVAL movie. Not as excited as I was with the first trailer. I do love me some Cillian Murphy and Hardy though. Will wait for next trailer to really judge.

Hell yeah - one of the greatest stories of English character - regular people in their own boats risked their LIVES to go get those men......can't wait.

Remember: initial trailers for Nolan's movies are often underwhelming.

That's encouraging. I was wondering how they could make a narrative out of an historical event with no great men and no real culmination.

I'm not the fan of Nolan than many here are. I think he can't get out of his own way. But, he can probably pull this story off well enough.

The description of the story reminds me a bit of Kubrick's Paths of Glory.
