You're telling me there were other counties that helped us in WW2?

But really it's refreshing to see a WW2 story that isn't based on American forces.

This story is the only reason The UK wasn't obliterated by the Nazis and the biggest mistake Hitler ever made.

This would be a good topic for discussion thread. What was Hitler biggest tactical error of WW2? I think it would come down to the timing of Operation Barbarossa or not giving Rommel the authority to use reinforcements as he saw fit to defend the Atlantic Wall. I don't think that letting the Brits escape at Dunkrik ranks as high. The Wehrmacht would've still been entirely unprepared to invade the UK and the Luftwaffe would've had to have gone on to win the Battle of Britain.

As for this movie, I'm def looking forward to it.

Ju-87 had a wind powered siren that could be turned on when dive bombing to scare the piss out of everybody on the ground.

That is the slowly rising whine you hear in the video which is the flat tone of the siren combined with the doppler shift of the oncoming fast moving bomber. It was kind of an iconic terrifying sound durring WWII. It was called the "Jericho Trumpet".

Same. War movies really aren't my thing, but since it's Christopher Nolan, I'll probably see it in the theater.

What if Tom Hardy's character is in a gas mask the entire movie and we never understand a single word he says especially over the Hans Zimmer score blasting over dialogue? That'd be hilarious.
Well...The Revenant showed he doesn't need anything covering up his mouth to misunderstand him.

TOM HARDY is in Peaky Blinders?? Multiple seasons? Holy crap. I stopped after Season 1. Not because i didn't like it, i was just in the mood for a different type of show at the time and i never got around to it again. I just finished catching up with Shameless so now i can get back to Peaky Blinders.
