This guy...he used to go to the ring as Deacon Batista with Reverend D-Von.

Before that he was known as Leviathan in OVW.

But they should of ran pics of this girl or something realisitic instead of Triple HHH just bringing it up out of nowhere and we are just thrown into some stupid angle...

I have the feeling that WWE is going to try and make him even more of a Next Big Thing than the last Next Big Thing. Which I would consider a great move.

Agreed. Batista is an excellent ring worker and is physically impressive. He also has better mic skills and charisma than Lesnar. One day those two will meet in the ring and it will be EPIC.

Man, no one can ever accuse Mark Callaway of not doing the job. He really has been Vince's most loyal employee over the past decade. He had to lose the most blood I have ever seen anyone in a match. He really put Lesnar over, which I think is a good thing. I think we're on track for Lesnar to not lose until Wrestlemania, when the Rock gets revenge in a huge "upset", i.e. like Rocky winning the rematch against Clubber Lang in Rocky III.

I think Taker lost way more blood than was planned. When Brock hit him with the ring steps, he botched the spot and the corner of the stairs went right into Taker's forehead. Moist of the blood was pouring out of one extremely small wound, which would be consistent with a botched spot.

Lesnar's ring work needs great improvement.

Yeah, it was kind of stupid, but they kept going with it so it was kind of stupid funny. Moment I saw "Kane," I knew it was going to be stupid. Though it was pretty sick.

Why did the WWF ever allow Kane to speak? He's the worst guy on the mic. He says some really corny s#it, and the fans still cheer...

It was NOT hilarious. It was deplorable. That made HLA look like a Disney short. HLA generated 1,500 angry emails to TNN, prompting the network to warn WWE about their programming. This could cost WWE their lucrative TV deal with Viacom.

You have missed the most revolting thing I have ever seen. I may quit watching wrestling for a while. They have totally ruined an "artform" I have enjoyed my entire adult life.

    That skit was super lame.

It was pretty funny at first, until they dragged it out and included some horrible unfunny puns.

I could understand the poor delivery and bad jokes if it were live, but cmon. Give it up HHH, you aren't a freakin comedian.

I'm just going to say this one more time then I'll get off the soapbox. That entire skit -- the very concept of that skit -- was completely morally reprehensible. Anybody who wasn't repulsed by it should take some time to reflect on why they aren't repulsed.

fwiw, the only thing I found funny about the skit was at the very beginning when I figured out it was HHH.

But yes, the concept was horrible, and the execution of it was just as bad. Do they look at this **** before they air it? Do they think at all? This "storyline" just gets worse and worse.

The skit was stupid, but then again I felt the whole storyline was dumb from the beginning.

Of course, the WWE has done extraordinarily stupid stuff before. JR mentioned the 'giving birth to a hand thing', which is a good example.

But I didn't watch it thinking 'this is deplorable' as much as I was thinking 'this is incredibly stupid'. If they had been trying to pass that off as a legitimate act, or as 'real' footage, then I would have ventured into being insulted.

Instead, I saw it as the character of Triple H being a moron and setting up something that he thought would get under Kane's skin. The moment HHH walked in with a Kane mask, and a '02 Kane T-Shirt during a '92 tape, my brain pretty much went into 'well this is going to be idiotic' mode.

They're called standards. The notion that somebody passing themselves off as Kane was simulating sex with a supposed corpse is revolting.

Is Stephanie the lead writer for both Raw and Smackdown, or just Smackdown? My guess is that there must be different writers for Raw, which would explain the turn to the moronic.

It's all acting and make believe. I have very high ethics, but I don't care what is "implied" in a storyline. It was a dummy in the coffin and Katy Figg is fictional. The acting was intentionally bad, imo. HHH wanted to make Kane look like a dumbass. I'm not outraged because it is fake and no harm was done to anyone. I think HHH is great at being the #1 heel. He did what he was supposed to do.
