Here some thoughts: Is it just me or is Matt Hardy getting more of a push than Jeff Hardy? Shouldn't it be the other way around? And the RVD/Triple HHH clash....anyone buying that? I kind of feel RVD fits in fighting for the Intercontinental/Hardcore/European titles.... But I guess there isn't anyone on Raw for Triple H to feud w/ except for RVD. Bubba trying to feud w/ Triple H.....doesn't catch my eye....
Ok, I keep forgetting the 2. Jeff's the one on RAW, right? Yeah, it seems like Matt is getting a bit more of a push, but I really don't like either of them. I like RVD. He's probably in my top 3 in the WWE right now. (since all the rest left.) They probably trying to experiment as well. You can only have HHH fight so-and-so so many times.
I have read reports stating that Jeff isn't getting a push as a punishment. He is in management's doghouse right now for various reasons.
http://www.prowrestling.com/2/5705.shtml There is some sort of talk right now to have Randy Orton, Ric Flair, Triple H and Batista (When he jumps to RAW) to form a stable sort of like the Four Horseman on RAW during the comings weeks. That, according to source is the Ex-SmackDown! talent Flair was talking about this past Monday. _________________________________________ This is interesting should it be true. Any thoughts?
haha. You expected a detailed and well-reasoned analysis regarding a wrestler? Which font size did you want the thesis to be?
Nah I'm definitely not. I watched the old Paul Bosch wrestling when I was a kid but that was about it.
Fine fine fine. Randy Orton is too much of a dork with no Charisma. In wrestling, a wrestler does need that. THey can be a sorry ass wrestler, but have some of that charisma, and they can be over with the crowd. Wrestlers need to draw some heat from the fans to make the match seem interesting. It's hard for a wrestler to be a good worker but lack charisma. It takes a long ass time for people to notice and say, man he can go. Chris Benoit lacks fun, but he can go.
I agree to a point. But charisma is not all that matters. Part of what is wrong with WWE right now is there are so many guys with below average ring skills...but they've got a cool catchphrase that gets the crowd working and looks good on a shirt. That type of stuff will get boring after a time. Guys with good ring skills but aren't getting a serious push are Bubba Dudley, Johnny Stamboli and Tommy Dreamer. Workrate hasn't been very important in WWE in the last few years and it's catching up with them.
You might be able to scratch Bubba off that list. Going against Triple H - and owning most of the match - would be considered a 'push' in the WWE's book. And who doesn't think we won't be seeing that table with HHH on it anytime soon? Though, watching that match I just kept thinking....Bubba's out of his league. I guess I just can't see him as a top tier name yet.
Look at his work rate and charisma. He's a great ring worker and he gets tremendous crowd pops. All he needs is a change in ring attire. The camo and 3D shirt are really minor league looking. His gimmick is just fine. Same gimmick, different ring attire and you have a top tier guy.
Yep. Seemed as if the crowd knew it as well. They were dead for that match. A for effort to push someone like Bubba, but he isn't a main-eventer.
Many people said the same about Flair when he first started getting pushed...and Jericho for his first huge push...etc etc etc. Unless you're a behemoth...then you have to prove it at a main event level over time. Let's see if Bubba can grow into the role.
