Here is Tenciaous Z, didnt believe it at first, but from the looks, he's a cruiserweight which means, he will be on Smackdown.
Well, I guess we have to see how he progresses. But I think he will be stuck in the OVW until they can find an angle on him.
Stone Cold came back after RAW went off the air Monday night . My cousin went and took some pics of the event . I will post them if its cool to post pics ?
More from 411: WWE is apparently in negotiations to sign Steve Chamberlain, a one-legged wrestler from Florida. WWE recently signed Tenacious Z from NWA: TNA who is also a one-legged wrestler. What do you think the odds are of Gerwitz putting them in a potato sack and giving them a Siamese twin gimmick?
What bothers me is that they are signing these, forgive me for saying this, freaks rather than Goldberg.
Yeah, I'm starting to get fed up with that too. Is the limited amount of dates really that big of a deal? I mean, come on, he's allready over (no need to have the whole roster job to him) and the only match people really want to see is him vs. Austin anyway.
Goldberg wants to do TWO DATES...that's it...end of contract. RAW followed by WrestleMania...and poof...no more Bill. Patently unacceptable.
Yeah, but really, how much is Goldberg worth after you job him to Austin (what's with all this Rock-Goldberg talk anyway?)? He's just a one trick pony with that win streak.
This is exactly the booking philosophy that has gotten WWE in so much trouble recently. There are so many "dream matches" you could book him in. Austin HHH Rock 'Taker RVD Lesnar The list goes on and on. What you have said is straight from Chapter 1 of the Brian Gewirtz course on being a wrestling booker.
BTW, what is with the push for Team Angle? Both of them got clean pins on Eddy Guerrero in consecutive weeks. Eddy basically jobbed to Shelton Benjamin? Vince must like their "look."
Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas are outstanding young talents with a very bright future. I saw Shelton Benjamin at his tryout match here in Houston at a house show. This guy was PHENOMENAL. WWE is going to have to build guys like this into stars if they have a prayer of surviving the impending retirements of some of their top level talent.
Yeah, but with clean victories over someone like Guerrero? Man, that's a stretch. Even the Rock jobbed early in his career. Hell, SCSA lost to Savio Vega, several times.
Okay, I'll give you Lesnar (and Triple H to a certain extent), but there's only one match that's really been salivated over and that's Austin-Goldberg. If Goldberg only wants two dates, then give them to him and have him get the f out. Have him show up unannounced on Raw, spear Austin to cost him the title or something and boom, instant buyrate popping for the PPV where he just comes in and takes some stunners. The alternative is putting him over everybody (from what I've read, at least). You're not going to get many dates out of him regardless, so why not just take what you can get and revolve the rest of your shows around the workers that actually want to contribute long-term. I fail to see how a one time only Goldberg-Austin/Rock match could hurt anything. BTW, if they're dropping the ball regarding Dream Matches, it's definitely in the Hogan department.
BAD idea...suppose you give Bill everything he wants (includine seven figures)...then when Austin or Rock or another huge star that works 200+ dates a year comes up for a contract...what are you supposed to give HIM? He has gone on record as saying that he might be willing to sign long term at some point. Bottom line is that people are so hungry to see Goldberg that if you give him to them...he can't just disappear after a huge match at WrestleMania. That would be a huge letdown to fans and WWE can't afford to drive anybody away right now.
I sure hope they are just swriveing us right now like Hogan. Who knew that he was actually going to sign a contract this soon. If he isnt on Raw or Smackdown by March, I can see him not coming in at all. Now, I heard Sting maybe intersted in coming to the WWE, only if it was the right way in a good storyline. Would be interesting to see that.
I like Sting. He is/was one of my favorite wrestlers. Now how the hell would he come in and feud with? I am thinking Shawn Michaels. They can feud about who is the bigger Christian, and who can build a bigger church from a public donation.
I don't want to see Goldberg in the WWE, but if he does, I only want to see him get his ass kicked by Steve Austin, and that is the only way I will watch Goldberg in the WWE. He is so damn boring. He can't move, he is sloppy. Did I mention boring? The Goldberg chants were stupid. What? is also stupid also, but not as bad as Goldbergs chant.
You would HAVE to give Duane Johnson or Rocky Maivia or The Rock or whatever he wants to be called this week a deal that would make Hollywood producers spit up their Tofu burger. Especially with the current economy...this is a STUPID business move. Not really...since nobody expects him to sign. If you put him on TV and yank him a week later...it will come off as one giant tease. Not only is he sloppy...but he works WAY too stiff...just ask Bret Hart. Goldberg kicked Hart into early retirement. Sting is interested in a deal that will have him working 5 to 8 dates per month. That would be RAW or Smackdown! every week...the PPV every month and a few house shows. That is about 33% of what most guys work. But it is stable...unlike Goldberg. What has caused Sting's change of heart about retirement? He recently did a few matches for the WWA overseas...and now he wants one last good run.
