Where the heck is Shelton Benjamin? He's one of the most talented guys on the roster...I don't want to pull out the big "R", but you don't see many white guys go from IC champ rising in popularity to wrestling with scrubs on pre-PPV Heat matches...

He is out with injury. He had to have some surgery which put WWE's plans for him in a mess. Everything I have read is WWE has high hopes for him, they really want him to work on his mic skills though.

Ric Flair seriously needs to retire....
it is very unnecessary having a 56 year old dirty old man with turtle-like reflexes chopping his opponents 2,000 times a match. the man can't even say a whole sentence without losing his breath... and the WHOOs are so annoying. Also, to have him beat Triple H in a cage on Taboo Tuesday?!?!?! That is insane because I find that to be PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.

Put this guy to bed, Vince... I respect the man, his accomplishments, and his legacy... but he's just too old. Hogan knows it... why don't you, Flair?!

As long as Flair can keep the crowd enchanted, he's not going anywhere.

I'm just afraid the guy's going to die in the ring.

I'd like to see Goldberg or Brock come back and take on Batista, esp. Brock.

I think the next wrestlemania will be headed by Cena vs Batista.

Their "heavyweights" (yeah right) really do suck. Jarrett has always sucked, Rhyno does nothing outstanding, Raven is like 60 years old rehashing an ECW gimmick from 10 years ago, Konnan and Road Dogg should be banished from television, and the less said about "The One" the better. Kevin Nash can barely walk. Monty Brown and Samoa Joe are pretty fun so far, though, not sure how long that'll last. Are they still running jobber matches on Friday nights? Sorry, this is 2005; jobbers have no place on tv.

Now, if they got rid of the deadweight and focused SOLEY on the X-Division, I think they'd really have something. WWE has never been able to use the small guys worth a damn, and watching AJ vs Daniels #67,543 is still guaranteed to be 50 times better than anything involving Chris Masters. I think AJ gets overhyped but he's still much more fun to watch than the crap they're writing on RAW. The skits and promos on TNA are even more attrocious than WWE, but at least they keep them to a minimum and make up for it with good action. Vader was awesome fifteen years ago, but I don't think anybody was hoping for a return.

One thing I'm kinda keeping an eye on is the fact that Paul Heyman's contract with WWE is expiring soon. Stephanie apparently can't stand the guy, and they've got him running freakin' OVW. From a monetary standpoint, he'd probably be a fool to turn down an extension, but I think Paul really might jump at the chance to take some legit creative reins in TNA. He's got to know he'll never, ever get that chance in WWE. If anybody can take the motley crew in TNA to the next level, I'd put my money on Paul. He's always had a knack for exploiting wrestlers' strengths and downplaying their weaknesses. I guess we'll see soon just how loud money talks at this point in his life. God knows he'd be worlds better than Jerry Jarrett or Dutch Mantell or whoever the hell is booking for them at the moment.

I personally like HHH, he is a great entertainer and has carried the company for a loong time. Also Cena is a great champ, and he has very good mic skills. Who else would you want to have the belt?

In the past few months I have discovered that wrestling is on TV pretty much all the time in South Asia and SE Asia and they absolutely love it. They all think it's real, too, and everybody is always asking me about it. So consequently I've seen it a lot over the last few months (not a lot else to do at night in India)

As for Cena, I think he's terrible - come on, a downgrade marky mark clone screaming "come get some of deez nutz!"? That's not even funny as camp, it's just lame. I was never a huge HHH fan but he, Angle, and Michaels have more charisma in one steroid shrunken testicle than Cena.

I don't really like Cena either. Part of the reason might be that the last time I really watched wrestling, he just seemed like some stupid wrestler who would attempt to "freestyle" like this:
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4096422291730318021&q=cena

I kind of thought he was terrible, except for maybe a few laughs I'd get from these freestyle attempts. I was a bit surprised to find out that he became the champ and was really "popular." I always pictured him as one of those middle-class type wrestler, like a Hurricane, Edge, or someone like that that, but not the champ. The little bit I've seen from him doesn't really change my mind either. Granted, The Rock, Stone Cold (to a degree), Jericho, and a few of my other favorites are gone, but I definitely like some of the other wrestlers better than Cena (Angle, HBK, even HHH, etc). In fact, HHH was pretty funny back in the DX days:
    http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=27TYXTGQMZ8EL3GKK7WCFZ3IK4 (bad language)

If only the WWE had a Real American:
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5876209459303670816&q=hulk+hogan

    I love that video. :)

Im ashamed to say I went to No Mercy at the Toyota Center. I went to the Astros game earlier, and six hours later, i decided to walk a few blocks, and go to the Toyota Center to see No Mercy. I dropped 75 bucks to sit in the last row of the club seats next to some hefty people.

    Lets go over the matches

Some Promo with JBL. I was at the concession stands talking to the concension stand lady.

    Dark match

Paul London, and Brian Kendrick vs Paul Burchill, and William Regal. I didn't know Regal was a heel. I have no freaking clue who Burchill is.

    It's an allright match

    the PPV starts.

    MNM vs LOD and Christy

Christy is cute, but hella annoying.
It's embarassing to see LOD, and basically Animal out there. I think Melina is cute.
    Sum it up, match sucked.

    Simon Dean vs Bobby Lashley
Simon Dean talks trash about Houston, We are fat and ****
I have no freaking clue who Bobby Lashley is. He's the black Brock Lesner.
I thought that Dean would win, and was surprised that Lashley won. The burgers came into play.

    US Title Match fatal fourway.
Booker T was introduced first by Sharmell. He got a huge pop. I was expecting this to be the best match of the night.
It wasn't. You have Chrisitian, and Benoit who can go, and then you ahve Orlando Jordan. Eh. Match should have been
    alot more better.
Christian looked terrible. It's too bad he quit. He was awesome.

Backstage **** with Booker, and Sharmell. Why is it everytime Booker comes to Houston,
    he always loses?

    Kennedy vs Holly.
I've seen Kennedy on smackdown a few times. At first, I thought this guy was annoying, but then
it clicked with me. This guy is pretty damn good with the mic. He will turn face soon. You can see it.
I hate Holly. The match was okay

    JBL vs Rey Mystery.

JBL talked **** about Texas, and how he hates it now, and MExicans.
I didn't really pay attention to this match, i just stared at the Rockets Banners, and the jerseys, and looked around
for cute girls, which there wasnt any.

    The Undertaker vs the Ortons

When they were doing the video package for the Undertaker vs the Ortons casket match, they wer
doing something to the enterence ramp. I was like, i think thats fire r****dent stuff. I was like. Okay, I see
Undertaker is going to lose. Orton will light it on fire.

Let me tell you this. The Undertaker might be old. His gimmick may be very old. But damn, is his entrence awesome.
The lights got dark. The video screen was just lightning. The druids came out and brought the casket out.
Then the Undertaker came out. Its pretty damn cool still after all these years.
There was this point in the match where bob orton was going to use a fire extinguisherjsr but Undertaker knocked him
and the fire extingiusherhe into the casket. So UT and Randy Orton kept fighting.
I knew that the next time UT opens the casket, Bob Orton would pop out, and use the fire extinguserueser.
And that happened. I called it.

    Match was okay

    Cruiserweight match.

Man, people love the Mexicools. There was a bunch of hispanics at the TC. I felt out of place. The Mexicools were talking in spanish
and i had no clue what they were talking about. but i stayed quiet. They came riding on lawn mowers.
    Thats funny.

And then the WWE title match

I like Eddie. Batista is okay.
It was a good match. Eddie did most of the work for Batista.
Eddie was going to use a chair but decided not to.

    Batista won.

The best part of the match was after the match where they basically broke character/kayfabe.
eddie walks towards the back, and batista calls him back.

It was eddies birthday, and it was a refs birthday. batista wished eddie a happy birthday. and they
brought out a cakethey smashed in the refs face in the cake and stuff. It was pretty entertaining.

Probably the only good part of the night

Overall. the show suck. It was a waste of 75 dollars.

Atleast the Astros game was good.

I used to like John Cena, but now he sucks. He used to have more of a wrestling moveset.
Now its just punch punch kick, five knuckle shuffle, and FU.

I'm sure by WrestleMania 22, they will stop the brand extension, because weve been seeing Smackdown! and Raw interacting
with each other on non joint ppvs.

These are dark days for wrestling. I can't wait for the end of brand extension - with the current lack of compelling talent, one show, Raw, is enough. Hopefully TNA takes off and gives some competition to the WWE. The best days of wrestling were when there was competition with the WWF and WCW going head to head.

Actually, I think that RAW has too many superstars and Smackdown! has too little. With the return of Triple H and Kane, including stars like Angle, HBK, Edge, Big Show, and the emergence of Masters and Carlito, I think RAW can send one of them to Smackdown to help them out. But instead, they send Matt freakin' Hardy - the ultimate jobber.

Without Undertaker and Christian, Smackdown only has Batista, Eddie Guerrero, Randy Orton, and Chris Benoit as championship contending superstars. Also, I DON'T want to see a Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper match EVER again. I think if RAW sends them another superstar, the competition will be more intense.

There's a rumor/theory that they moved most of the top tier guys to Raw to stick it to UPN for putting the show on Friday night, a bad timeslot.

I don't know how long their contract lasts, but I wouldn't be surprised to the see the rosters rejoined when it ends, or sooner, depending on if USA gives them a timeslot for the show.

The loss of Guerrero made Smackdown even thinner at the top. When and if Jericho decides to comeback, I think he'd be an excellent fit and would thrive there.

I have been a huge wrestling fan every since 1982 when I was 5 years old . I remember watching Paul Boesch Wrestling on Channel 39 and the Mr. Norman commercials . I have since then been watching wrestling no matter if it was WCW , WWE , WWF , NWA , ECW, whatever I watched it . Over the past six months though , I have not been able to get into this WWE product that is on my TV screen . I have not been able to get into the direction that they are going with . John Cena as champ is about as exciting as watching Mae Young give birth to a hand . The guy was great as a heel , but now they have turned him into a complete weinee . He sounds so much like The Rock when he cuts his promos its sad . Batista is doing an OK job as Champ , he just lacks the mic skills to make himself a full blown star . Tonight I put it on the Smackdown Special and was completely lost on what was going on . From what I saw , I didnt miss much .

I have been checking out TNA on Saturday nights and I can get into it a whole hell of a lot more than the WWE . The six-sided ring is a bit strange , but the action and moves are pretty damn sweet . I know they are a bunch of WWE rejects on there but I like wrestling for the actual wrestling more than I do the acting dramatic BS . Thats just my opinion on the wresling scene as of now .
