The Driven sticom? I watched it a few weeks back and after watching that, I have much more respect for him. Never knew anything about his football stage in his career from HS, to Miami, to barley playing for the CFL team. I didnt know his dad was against for him going into wrestling, but guess he was wrong. :p

I think his character sucks right now. This Hollywood act is making him as if he's a weakling. It would be nice to have the Rock who was kicking major ass before he became the Hollywood star. Or even the Rock who started his role as a pie-eating, Smackdown Hotel-talking, KNOW YOUR ROLE-chomping ASS Kicker! The Rock running away like a little pansy against SCSA makes his character look like a pu$$y.

You can't really package the Rock as the intimidating heel. A) he's not freakishly big enough and B) His looks, mic skills and demeanor don't make it realistic, imo.

Even the know-your-role Rock was kind of a coward. He's more Ric Flair than Undertaker, if that makes sense.

I'm with you NWO.....I don't mind Rock being a heel, in fact I think his character is best suited for that role. However, that being said I think more of a kick-ass heel is in order. I remember the best days of the Rock, IMO, were when he was in the old corporation with Vince and Shaun McMahon. He was pitted against SCSA but was not portrayed as a weakling. He was an obvious heel but not a weak one. In fact he would get the better of SCSA alot of times. I remamber he through SCSA off the "Smackdown Bridge" one time. He called out SCSA to meet him on that bridge and throughout the entire program it went back to the Rock just waiting on that bridge. He would be fishing/pacing all sort of stuff all-the-while running his mouth (What he does best). He better start "whoopin' some candy-ass" pretty soon and drop the whole Hollywood act.

See, the corporation Rock and the ass-kicking, pie-eating Rock would raise hell and make the fans watch. Now, he just bores me. He's feuding w/ the Hurricane! What is the deal w/ that? He should be all up on Triple HHH, SCSA, Rick Steiner, etc. The big dogs! This macho Hollywood character is just B.S. He needs to get in there, whoop some ass, raise some hell w/ the fans, and cut down some people. I always loved it when he put down the WWE reporters. Now that's the Rock I know, now this current monkey crap.

Like I said a few posts ago, I loved how the Rock is battling with Hurricane right. Both of them are the top draw as far as mic work and Rock even let Hurricane beat him, although not cleanly. Rock doesnt mind putting other wrestlers over, as long as it doesnt make Triple H look better, hence is why Booker vs. Rock didnt take place last week on Raw. Plus, he can leave the company and screw Vince over and just retire. But I hear he wants to stay as much as possible along with doing movies because he owes so much to Vince for his success. Thats why I like the guy. If we have more people like Hulk, Trips, and other hard headed wrestlers that think they can just take over the company, put younger talent far down, the company won't last too much longer. Hell, even my cousin predicted the whole jelouosy angle Test and Stacy went through last Monday, just too damn predictable theses days.

Wrestle World has posted that the next WWE magazine cover will feature "Who's Next" with a pic of Goldberg. This pretty much would confirm that he has signed and by the time the mag comes out he will have debuted.

Goldie is quite possibly the most "over" wrestler ever.

I'll probably get fryed for this, but I think the new Golddust gimmick is hilarious. I don't care if its not PC. Frankly, I don't see how he does it without cracking up.

That'll probably happen. WWE is notorious for this kind of stuff with ex-WCWers.

Jericho- feuded with Chyna for awhile. Title run was a joke.
Hall- gets kidnapped, stunned, then feuds with Bradshaw (of all people) before getting canned.
    Saturn- befriended a mop
    Raven- ... he was there?
    Dean Malenko- pinned by Lita.
Big Show- had a great first few months, recent cannon fodder for Lesnar.
Steiner- jobbed to HHH two ppvs in a row, future uncertain.

Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit have had decent WWE runs, but it took a few years for any big push. Rey Mysterio gets an incomplete... I'm sure I'm missing someone else though...

DDP jobbed to Taker, then looked like he was actually going to make that motivational speaker gimmick work, but his career got cut short. :(

Almost forgot Booker T. He's actually had a pretty good run from feuds with Austin, Rock, nWo, and now HHH. Only low point was putting over Edge.

Oh, and how could I forget arguably the biggest WCW storyline spinoff ever, the nWo.

Much like Big Show, had great first month, then were relegated to feuding with Goldust. Nothing against Goldust, but nWo was about destroying companies, mocking tradition, and becoming the focal point of every broadcast, not yes men for Ric Flair.

What's the scuttlebutt with regards to HHH/Booker? Is HHH hurt, therefore likely to give up the belt?

You are deeply sick. If you've ever known somebody who was really afflicted in that manner you wouldn't find it so funny.

OK time for my input (WOOOOOO)

    1) Not a Goldberg fan sorry. He may pop a crowd (5 years ago) and I'm sure that he'll pop a crowd on his return, but what happens when he wrestles the same match no matter who he goes up against? He may have some sort of moveset (I'll withhold judgement) but he's no Angle or Benoit when it comes to working a match. Plus he wants input on who he wrestles and what they do with his character. Crap like that shouldn't fly, you're an employee live with it and cash your fat paycheck.

    2) The Goldust character should have been left alone. I realize they wanted to push Booker solo but Dustin was wrestling well and should have been left alone. Now he's saddled with a horrible, somewhat offensive gimmick that won't get him any more over.

    3) I like Rock's new Hollywood character, but they should go even more over the top with it. Have a publicist hang around and answer questions, show up in a stretch limo, have a lawyer sue guys who attack him, etc. etc. I'm curious to see if they put him over Austin at WM, what with his somewhat fluid work schedule.

    4) I'm still waiting for any indication that HHH will actually drop the belt to Booker at Mania. If they're not the main event, look for HHH to keep it. Although they've done it before (with HHH, if I'm not mistaken), having heels go over in the main event of the biggest show of the year isn't what WWE likes to do.
