if he had a gun the kid might be dead so I wouldn't exactly bring this up as a defense of not trying to control guns.
I don't necessarily disagree with you, but to be fair, the kid is in critical condition. He is not out of the woods yet. Knives are a deadly weapon.
That's not what I said... The girl already said she was smoking pot so she's "not exactly sure" if she was assaulted or not. If I'm her Dad, that's not enough evidence for me to STAB the first kid she points her finger at. And sorry if I'm not willing to accept my kid smoking pot just because "kids will be kids".
